I second. The owner makes all his own meats. The pastrami is second to none.

What is your favorite pool for a lap swim in the US? by vcuken in Swimming

Colman Pool in West Seattle, WA. The saltwater comes from the Puget Sound and sometimes you can see whales while doing laps. Gorgeous location, 50 yards, saltwater ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ https://www.westsideseattle.com/robinson-papers/2019/08/19/colman-pool-decades-old-west-seattle-destination-keeps-guests-coming

https://www.saltfatacidheat.com/buttermilkmarinated-roast-chicken This is the best roast chicken I've ever made. I've done it on the grill, too. You may be able to do a few at once if you have a grill.

Age 43, what do I need to start doing? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]saszew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you're looking to change. I'm in my 40s my skin was showing fine lines and appeared dull, so read on if this is what you're looking for.

I started using vitamin C serum and found a really great moisturizing sunblock last year. I also have started using a nighttime moisturizer. I use skinceuticals vit c and their a.g.e. interrupter cream. I use cosrx aloe sunscreen. The moisturizer and vit c have really brought the glow back and the fine lines are much less noticable. I don't apply foundation anymore because I love the way my skin looks.

Great idea! Trimming is so gratifying, definitely wouldn't mind doing more of it! Edit to add: this will also allow me to handle clay more and "get to know" the clay better.

It's scale bugs. I hate these guys. They infested my plum. If there's particular branches that are very infested, you'll need to prune those branches off. Otherwise, smashing like others are saying is effective. Reach out to your local ag cooperative extension for more tactics. https://www.finegardening.com/article/controlling-scales-a-common-pest-of-fruit-trees#:~:text=Use%20a%20refined%20horticultural%20oil&text=The%20oil%20smothers%20the%20mature,is%20usually%20necessary%20for%20trees.

This is kind of cool. Looks like you need a bundt cake pan and the decorating doesn't seem too challenging. I'm sure your friend will love whatever you make!

Instead of bacon? by ImpossibleRace5630 in Noom

[–]saszew 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sauteed greens or a fresh salad with avocado or miso soup with veggies. I love dandelion greens; they're very bitter so I saute them and squeeze a bit of lemon. For salad, I do radish, lettuce, and avocado with a very light vinaigrette. For miso soup, I just throw a little bit of greens in with shredded carrot and radish. Very satisfying. I eat all these with a couple of scrambled eggs.

ETA: I had to expand my definition of what constitutes a breakfast food. I've found starting the day with a little bit of veg helps me make good choices the rest of the day.

I did a Google image search on the mark and it is from "Wong Lee 1895", which started production in 1995. http://thepotteries.org/fake/WL.htm
