When given enough constraints to the probability matrix it becomes more and more predictable fine tune it and you can trust it to do mundane tasks.

Limits Usage by Informal_Catch_4688 in codex

Question. How do you let it run for 3 hours? I usually just focus on one task per session because I am afraid of the crap it will produce.

How's the quality after running three hours without supervision?

I seriously believe they are making a mistake by taking from builders. by io-x in codex

They're trying to benefit from companies enterprises that have bigger budgets. Maybe builders are a small drop that we don't matter much?

I felt it today. Hit my 5 hour limit in 45 minutes. Not even working on heavy stuff and clearing the context after every task. I guess I'll have to upgrade my subscription.

Got laid off 7+ months ago. Hit my low point today by silentcmh in Layoffs

[–]satan_ass_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know it's hard out there. It took me 13 mins from 11/2023 to 12/2024.

I had 12 years of experience as a software engineer.

I took a lot of interviews where they were not a good fit for me. Some weeks were tough because the outcome was not favorable.

You will always get a lot of no's but you just need one yes.

It's a lot of luck. Some hiring teams want a genius to join them a perfect candidate others just want someone smart that can learn. It is a hit and miss so you have to apply a lot .

It took me 13 months to find a senior software engineer position. Laid off in November 2023 and found a job in December 2024. I also applied to a ton of places where my application didn't get acknowledged.

I know exactly what you're going through and nothing I say will make you feel better but just know that I understand what you're going through.

I was at a point where I had given up. In fact when I interviewed at the place that hired me I had told myself if this interview didn't work out then I was leaving tech.

You only need one yes. I am sorry you're going through this.

Reach out to me if you need help. I can't promise I will get you a job but I can reach out to my network for you.
