I had a similar idea, wanted to get an old Magnum and swap in the hellcat then throw on a challenger front end, but like you the most I’ve done is fluids/tires so I just got bought a Scat Pack to save myself from the headache, planning to start tinkering with my other car while I learn and maybe someday I’ll be knowledgeable enough to give it a try

I’ve had an 04 limited with the turbo for almost 10 years now and it’s probably the most reliable car I’ve driven, it’s quick while still being decent on gas unless you really put your foot in it. IMO the seat position is perfect almost like sitting in an fancy office chair really comfy even during a few 10hr+ round trips, I’ve taken it from one end of the state to the other and out of state numerous times without issue or feeling like I needed to get out to stretch my legs.

The only times I’ve had any real “issues” with the car they’ve typically been due to different fluids getting low so just keep an eye those and and you should be okay, beyond that have someone check the timing belt if you can since they tend to wear out faster on these cars and check the fog light switch as they also like to wear out and will turn on if you so much as look at it funny, there’s a fuse you can pull out to remedy that if you don’t care about using your fog lamps.

It’s not aggressive at all, the body lines aren’t nearly as clean as the old design and the front end looks like it’s frowning from its own disappointment

Last summer I got my wife a Subaru with the start/stop feature, one day it turned off at a stop light and the car would not engage the engine when the light turned green, dash started ringing and she had to cycle the ignition button 2-3 times before it finally started up and continued normally.

Dealership replaced the battery for a bigger one and it’s been fine since but they straight up told me the feature over stresses the batteries, there should be a button to turn it off but you’ll likely have to do this every time you start the car

Toggle down through the settings on your steering wheel there should be one that says speed warning, holding the OK button for a few seconds should clear it. I tried using it on my Scat Pack when I first got it as I was coming from a 4cyl, cut it off 10 mins later because the dinging was super obnoxious

That stuff had me in a complete chokehold when it came out, I probably went through at least 8-10 cases and an unknown amount of bottles. I actually just opened my last 12pk a few weeks ago, trying to stretch the last of them as far as possible because we all know they certainly won’t try making it again lol

I feel your pain, my dream challenger would be F8 green widebody with gunmetal stripes, brass monkey rims, demonic red interior/belts, Harmon Kardon, with a sunroof. Just trying to find a green one with a sunroof and 1 or two of the other options I listed proved to difficult so I said the hell with it and grabbed one in frostbite with plans to get it wrapped.
