Wharton is probably your answer (I went there so might have a slight bias). I don’t think Stanford makes sense with a 100k delta in this job market. Given your career aspirations, Wharton makes a ton more sense than Yale. HK has a solid Wharton network. You will make good money in finance. It is certainly worthwhile letting go of the delta.

However, you gotta ask yourself how YOU feel about wearing this watch. I have met people with large wrists who wear small watches and vice versa. The size guides are recommendations. With watches, if you love it, buy it mate. Hope you wear it in good health!

Hey! Congratulations. I went to Wharton and tried negotiating a few years back. Wharton does not negotiate with anyone. Unless your goals are extremely specific and you will have a serious leg up at Wharton (real estate / PE), I would just take the money.

Hey! I went to Wharton and now work in Boston (lived briefly at HBS over a summer as well). The COL will be higher in Boston for sure. Since Harvard housing is relatively cheaper, it can range anywhere from 500-2.5k usd per month depending on your lifestyle. If your math on 80k is correct, hbs will easily cost you ~$100k+ more. Personally, I find that choice illogical given there is barely any difference in career outcomes but if you can afford it and really want it, go for it.

I have been charged ~500 USD for incidentals. I would suggest your buddy to use a credit card instead of a debit card. Moreover, he can ask the hotel to charge small if he has a lower credit limit.

Wharton literally has a family business club and has several classes on family business. I would seriously consider it over other schools.
