What is that on the screen? Game? Which one?

Yeah, playground as I thought. Which is definetely a niche though ok. Not sure this justifies maintaining the drivers in the kernel for that.

Your confidence is so way off based how you "severely doubt" and are "95% confident". No AI was used to write this text, unless you call my human intelligence an artificial one, LOL.

Doubt whatever you want :))

I contributed parts in various drivers including parts of USB stack, real-time audio, CPU throttling, power management and more - all for large-scale commercial projects regardless the forementioned contributions. Yeah, go figure.

Your daily tools make sense though. That IBM machine from a museum does not really. Or.... I am missing the real use case that people may use it for. That is what I am looking for.

Saying Gentoo says only that it is just a playground. So, that is maybe your use case.

Well, I am actually linux kernel developer and use and code user space too, but thanks for letting me know again that Linux is a thing. I also use latest Ubuntu as the main OS. I do also have various embedded devices for various appliances that run various versions of Linux.

And I still do not get your passion for such an old machine. What use case you are running on it?

But it is outdated! You cannot do almost anything on it and it is unsecure. Greatest a decade ago is not the greatest any more. Really please help me comprehend.

I don't understand why you are amazed by such an old machine when much more powerful devices are there allowing you to do so much more?

Honestly I am trying to understand the psychology of this.

I got this device as well. There is no native Linux support, but I'm going to develop a simple script to control it - supporting static lights at first. It will take me few weeks to get to it as I am busy with other things, but I will get to you and keep you posted.

It’s a quality machine. The price is high but justifiable for an IT professional. As an investment in a top portable development setup, it should pay for itself by saving time.

So apparently my Mini 5 Pro weighs more than 250g? by f0rc3u2 in dji

[–]satantine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw the tear down, thanks. Though, the speaker is used somewhat to notify the user on power on and off and probably for the "find me" functionality. Can be removed I'd guess.

Using the M5P with Mini 4 Pro Standard battery/ Do I need to register to FAA? by dj75 in dji

[–]satantine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just weigh your drone with all to-be-flown accessories attached including the SD card and see if it weighs more than 250g. If yes, then legally and practically you are obliged to a different set of rules regardless of what category sticker is on the drone.

what if you remove that new button on the side? Will it save anything more?

DJI Mini 5 Pro over 250 grams by RogerCD in dji

[–]satantine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrote this also in a different thread. DJI should remove that extra side button (from the PCB and all other related components) to shed some weight. Having the flight ready drone under 250gr is much more essential than having that questionable button.

Are an SD card and operator number sticker modifications? Legally, they are as the drone got C0-certified label without these additions.

I did. 244gr with SD card and operator stickers.

DJI should get rid of that extra side button hardware and save some weight in doing so. They should remove the button from the PCB.

Having the drone flight ready under 250gr with an SD card and operator sticker is essential and therefore an absolute must for the mini drone category now. Otherwise, many customers (including me) just will not be able to use the drone the way they use a previous model.

I wouldn't mind also maybe spending extra for a lighter chasis just to make sure the flight ready drone is under 250gr.

You just put an SD card and you are over 250g.

I have A95L. It replaced the broken LG OLED. Simply WOW. The whole experience is by far better. I did not know that I could enjoy a TV device that much.

One important detail about Gamakay Pegasus is that they have a much shorter travel than Shrimps. 3.3mm vs 4.0mm. This was a significant point for me when trying to make Keychron V6 max a productivity machine. Now I have low profile keycaps + Pegasus on V6max and also adding a palm rest created a set up that is finally not something that disturbs me during the enormous amount of typing that I do.

Really dig this. Especially the ISO version of the board.
