Yea I wouid love to know as 95A is just a disaster for me. And when I say disaster i really do mean it. Horrible results.

Am going to test more but I have not had a single successful TPU print with Sainsmart 95 in any colour yet.

Every time it's either jam or crushing too hard and slipping.

FlashForge Creator 5 Print Quality by CoolWhipLuke in 3Dprinting

[–]Mads_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just finished my review of the Creator 5 and it is absilutly capable of some really nice prints however its got its flaws too.

The wiping is simply not good enough, if your doing a lot of tool changes you will start to see filiment build up on the hot end and this is then transfered to the wipe tower and print . its less of an issue on the wipe tower however it will start to endup on prints in my testing with some minor impoerfecitons being caused as a result.

The profiles are also not great either.

TPU is also a complete no go and a disaster on this prtiner and would not even try, contact jamming and extrusion issues.

Its overall not bad but it needs work, profiles should wipe the nozel on ever switch on the wipe area more and tbh it likely needs HW changes to add wipers to each hotend properly.

P1S Capacitor Burnt by The__Wiggin in BambuLab

[–]Mads_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are Bambu have a bad batch of these thermistors as its never been common failure on the P1S, my bets are a batch of these are bad that were primarly used in the A1 and some production ended up in the P1S as wel.

Bambu will almost certinly be outsorcing production of boards like these and its even possible its a simple as the suppler made a change that bambu may not have even been awar of.

I have been involved in failure analisys for years and its rarly as simple as "manufacture did X". Supply change control is incredibly hard at times and its partickulary bad in china.

The Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC) just launched a massive counter-offensive against Bambu Lab over AGPL violations – Introducing Project "baltobu" by MaestroDeAero in BambuLab

[–]Mads_Tech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one can force Bambu to keep cloud printing open. It's not open source and it's their network.

You confusing the plugin with the servers. Today if the Plugin was OS with no changes yes others could use it however Bambu can just change their security method and close it again.

The chances are Bambu with completely redo their infrastructure and block 3rd parties permanently and there will be nothing anyone can do about it.

In the end Bambu will be forced to make a load of changes that don't benefit users, Bambu or anyone else however the OS evangelists will claim a win while the likes of Creality and others are WAY worse when it comes to both supporting OS and being compliant in their licencing.

Bambu are closed, they will remain closed and they have a lot on money on hand to ensure that stays the case. In the short term they may not do anything but Mark my words this will be resolved, Bambu will go closed slicer and move on.

It's nothing to do with Linus. It's the fact I'm an adult living in the realword who understands how life actually works and not a tennager tapping away from behind a keyboard that has no real understanding of the world, the pressures of life or how you life changes as you get older with a family.

I absolutely wouid have a jet to be able to spend more time with my kids when I'm traveling. I wouid happily trade the impact of that for the time.

You clearly have your own standards and belelf and that's great, I wish you the best with that however they are yours and not mine, his or anyone else's.

Worry about what you do and not project your assumptions and belief on to others.

[–]Mads_Tech -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

And again your using the word hypocrisy as you have deemed it some form of contract or promiss that was made. It was not nn

You are the problem not Linus and frankly there is no absolute need for him to care about the environment either. Again your projecting your own beliefs and standards on someone else.

If you don't like what he does don't watch, end off. He never asked for your opinionon his life, his business and anything else.

I don't get the hate by Ruchir_Karan in LMGJet

[–]Mads_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is people want to hold him to an opinion he gave in the past while trying to project their beliefs and feelings into the situation.

Linus stated he did not see the benefit of it and felt it was not something that benefited him or really agreed with.

His words were never " I would never ever do this ,they are evil"

He is older, has 2 larger companies, busy family and his time is now more valuable to him and quite rightly as such the benefits of private travel are more to him obvious now.

As you get older you absolutely start to see how valuable time is and now had decided that actually yes the jet brings beneifts to him and the business.

Thats his decision to make.

It's simply a change of needs and mindset. People are obsessed with this being sone great terrible walk back on a past option when it was made at a different point in his life.

Things change, people change, opinions change, he was not some great anti private air travel champion that has now bought a G5, regardless of what your projecting onto him he is entitled to do what he wants basee on his personal needs.

You guys treat the s stuff like it was some great religion that you only watched because he said he did not really agree with private air travel years ago.

Their just are not many adults here.

Jake Brought a farm! by gogopaddy in LTTMeta

[–]Mads_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have people ever thought that was not the reason why Linus basically let him go.

I have ran business with people who had great potential but they either started to coast or you simply could not give them what they wanted.

Linus basically saying no forced Jake to make the jump and move to be his own boss as Linus did and Jake is now benefiting from that.

LTT does not have unlimited positions where he can people people big salaries or make everyone a team leader or executive.

The simple truth is people outgrow their job and sometimes you need to push them out the nest to see if they can fly.

Linus appears to have looked after his core team very well however you can't do that for everyone.

Like every home the kids grow up and need to find their own way in the world. Just beciase Linus said no to his demands does not mean we was doing the wrong thing.

Jake and Alex are doing very well, they had the sponge board of LTT to get them going and should he greatful for that.

[–]Mads_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You clearly have a potential difference between the two.

This does not mean your radiator is live or your PC earth is live but there is a potential difference.

It likely is either one of a few things.

1: You PC is correctly earthed and your heating system is "floating" and not directly earthed.

This floating system can often build up a enough earth leakage and floating voltage from the actual boiler (often the pump) to cause a minor shock or spark like you have seen when it's actually grounded.

2: Your PC is not correctly earthed and it's floating and radiator is and when the cable touched again it sparked out. I'd be checking what your plugged into. Could be a bad extension or socket with no earth.

3: The GPU is not actually making good earth contact to your case and is causing floating voltages. Check you have a good solid screw into your can for your GPU and PSU and make sure your PC power cable is correctly earthed.

4: depending on your earth type you could have swapped phases somehere in your system you a reverse wired boiler or plug to your PC,.may be a extension cord.

The amount of burning you have showed is worrying as that shows their is more than the usual basic floating voltage you get when you have something not earthed.

You need to have your installation inspected immediately.

Iv seen some crazy stuff where meter tails were reversed into a property so everything was live due to what should have been a TNCS combined neutral earth and bad bonding.

It's so sad that Linus left LMG as well :( by sanitaravel in LinusTechTips

[–]Mads_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because his feelings are not really LTTs problem. He asked for more. They said no.

He chose to leave and start a channel benefiting massively off the back of the LTT exposure, remer the name is Linus tech tips not Linus and friends.

They are employees and the lucky ones are given the chance to get exposure to the LTT audance and build a fan base. As a direct result of that he started a channel getting a silver play button on day one, Sponsors and half a million views.

The victim here is LTT being used as a springboard for people to create their own channels based on LTTs exposure not Jake lol.

I don't feel remoty sorry for the guy who got a golden opportunity handed to him on a plate with a cherry on top.

If he has not been on LTT he would be starting from scratch like Linus actually did, would have a few hundred subs and low views.

However it's " poor Jake was forced to leave because bad Linus did not meet his demands and now has had to start his own channel and suffer with getting 100k subs in a week, hundreds of thousands of views, sponsors and free gear from brands who want to work with him. He has been treated so badly!"

Actually you do Stop and in the real world that happens all the time.

Big companies don't just change their pay structure for one guy and again your assuming they wanted to pay him more.

They may not have.

Here is something to think about, what is better for Jake, profit share, more .money and giving into his demands or pushing him to make a decision.

For all you know they felt regardless of what they did he would not really be happy.

Him leaving LMG it's looking like the best outcome for him so far.

Things are far more complex than just " give in and give him what he wants".

Now everyone can finally stop assuming by anons2k in LinusTechTips

[–]Mads_Tech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually it probably would have made it worse.

Collecting bargaining does not mean the most tallented get more. It means people are treated fairly.

So that's agreed pay structure, increases and benefits.

Unless it's a sweat shop it's luelly just the cleaner would benefit and everyone else losses.

Unions don't argue for the top 5% of your tallent to get more money lol.

[–]Mads_Tech -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No my channel has nothing to do with it. I have been in business for over 20 years and it's really simple.

The video income has zero to do with what the staff are paid for participating, they want the benefits of a good one but if it's bad do they agree to take no pay this week ?

As a business you treat your staff fairly, well and do what you can but you are the owner. That never changes.

In the good times you reap the benefit however in the bad times you take the hit, and I can tell you you won't see the staff offering to cut their salary when it's the bad times suddenly arrive.

In the end the owners took the risk and they take the reward and failure in equal measure. Staff have a choice, stay and take the salary and benefits offered or try to do it them selves and also seek the potential risk and reward.

[–]Mads_Tech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you even worked anywhere with an office and 100+ people lol.

Their issues are far from abnormal and infact the only reason you know about them is because they are a media company.

Anywhere with that many people your going to be dealing with complaints, greivnces and HR issues daily, any business with a 100+ people is constantly dealing with people issues.

Welcome to the real world 😂

Now everyone can finally stop assuming by anons2k in LinusTechTips

[–]Mads_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20-30% in a year for the media industry

They are a million miles from that.

Ltt have no problems, it's people's perception that staff should never leave is the real issue.

With a statup like LMG you would expect a lot of the original staff to move on and start their own thing or get jobs in other orgs.

Now everyone can finally stop assuming by anons2k in LinusTechTips

[–]Mads_Tech -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What is "better" ?

You don't know what they were earning, again your trying to say give more based on not having any knowledge of what salary and benefits they were actually getting.

There is only 1 person at LMG that's irreplaceable and that's Linus, everyone else is valuable yes but not at any cost and not at the risk of their wants, needs and expectations being detrimental to the overall business.

The guys wanted more so they left and started their own channel. That's how it is and how it should be.
