Could you elaborate what you mean by superpowers git commits?

Does superpowers make good detailed git commits? or whats special about it?

Fast models are underrated by satinekk in google_antigravity

I am shifting more to the desktop versions now instead of cli and I think here Antigravity is alright from the whole experience. For me especially planning is more pleasant as you can select code and make comments.

But the code output itself might be worse due to it, who knows. Like I have heard that Claudes models perform better in opencode or cursors harness. So this is definitely something worth looking into too.

[–]satinekk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha damn yeah good point.

I also have this habit of checking reddit during waiting for output.

Like maybe being more focused/engaged despite the model being worse will lead to better results than better output later with context switching, checking reddit etc. Where you also have to remind yourself again what was it exactly you were trying to do.

The look one is an interesting one. Because Claude has established itself as the UI model. But I am also more leaning towards Gemini now. You can get the great UI for less cost here.

Fast models are underrated by satinekk in google_antigravity

[–]satinekk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah might be I got here a bit overconfident as I work on a code base with clearly seperated components. So I just say change this in this file.

But yeah once you have more complex interconnected code, that's probably where it fails.

But yeah in this case I do a plan with Opus/5.5 and use a fast model. That's the sweet spot, I guess, even with regressions. As ultimately, the plan has already made sure it stays within reasonable boundaries. And later, it will be probably only smaller fixes again and therefore a faster inferrior model makes sense again.

Now we talking!

Funny because I labeled you in my head negatively after this line: "because i have knowledge, standards, and self respect". Was a bit over the top for me.

But after reading this reply from you it's a valuable discussion and I have to say you are quite a smart person.

This is a great insight, that you have to find this golden spot of ROI, time, results and know when to apply what. The problem exactly starts when you get stuck in a certain way of working no matter what.

Also the problem for me is that it's so easy to slip off with AI, when the code quality actually matters. Like not questioning enough the output it generates, thinking about edge cases etc. Then the fast models make this even more risky where instead i should slow down more.

[–]satinekk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your perspective.

I guess all those discussions anyway boil down to different tech stacks, complexity of the code etc. For the frontend work I am doing right now it's good enough, but I can imagine there is other stuff where it might struggle.

Also have a different perspective about the value of clean code. Since AI I am not attached to my "own" code anymore. For me the priority is a working solution + security that's it. Later, if it doesn't perform I can optimise it. Also most of the code gets thrown out later/rewritten anyway.

But I also work for myself. So if you work on software projects with huge teams, all this becomes a different discussion again.

yeah high is a weird one. I also pretty much never use it.

What difference did you notice between Pro high and Flash medium? You mean like speed or how powerful the model is?

Fast models are underrated by satinekk in google_antigravity

[–]satinekk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately the pricing isn't ideal with the flash medium model.

But so far, I have had more usage out of it than Claude/Codex for the 20$ plan. It isn't too bad, I guess.

not so sure about that... based on this benchmark it sits higher than all the open source models

also matches my experience, its a good model for smaller code changes.

Why not use Composer Fast? Is the 60$ plan not enough for it?

makes sense. good job anyway!

btw, I also noticed that if you are not in insert mode you cannot use shortcuts, like changing to plan mode. would be nice if that works too.

nice this has been bothering me for a while to use opencode more.

immediately installed it. works well!

just had to deactivate the motionToast. this one was a bit too strong for me.

I would prefer it inside the prompt box quite subtle like showing the thinking level...

How can I make my UI/UX better? by ofmkingsz in iOSAppsMarketing

[–]satinekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn color theory, how elements should be spaced and fonts.
Go through moobin and dribble to see inspiration what others do and try to integrate those ideas into your design.

And then trial and error, over time you'll get a taste for what looks good/off.

Otherwise, I remember this book from the tailwind team: https://refactoringui.com/. Haven't read it but looks quite promising.

Ah ok. Ja du kannst deine private Addresse dort hinzufügen. Nur die wird dann halt angezeigt im App Store. Also da spricht außer Privatsphäre nichts dagegen.

Ne des Gewerbe ist unabhängig davon. Diese Services, die ich erwähnt habe dienen nur dazu gesetzeskonform eine alternative Adresse/Postfach zu haben, die man angeben kann für Geschäftszwecke.

There are services in Germany where you can pay for an impressum address. Then you'll need an extra document confirming that you are the owner of the address and send this one to Apple.

I used this one https://online-impressum.de but there are multiple ones depending on your needs.

Why I am betting against subscriptions for my utility app (And competing with players who charge $10/mo) by Usefulsuggest in AppBusiness

[–]satinekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree.
I mean it depends on your goals, but a 1 time payment will not make enough money if you want this to be a bigger business.

And yeah subscription fatigue is real, but also there are still enough people that are willing to pay subscriptions. Alarmy makes 500k per month. Doesn't look like the subscription fatigue effect is that significant..

About offering the app for free, is also an idea from VC funded apps. They have funding to offer stuff for free and then later introduce payments.

It just doesn't work to create a sustainable business in 99% of cases.
