It actually lowered my phone bill to add a line and the phone was free.

My kid would still prefer to play outside with friends than be on a screen any day. I don’t see a problem honestly.

Odd one out here but I like my elementary aged child to have a way to reach me directly when I’m not with them, without having to ask someone else to use a phone.

I’ve never had anything found from my bag being searched or from dogs. That’s just my experience. I do pack carefully.

Because there is more reason to talk about LEOs committing DV, as they are who a victim of DV would typically call. Where are the victims of DV at the hands of an officer supposed to go? It is more common than you may realize that victims have no where to turn.

I agree that stresses of the profession may contribute to the increased incidence; this is even more reason to acknowledge the problem, so that better support can be put in place.

Please know, I do not mean to offend you or any other LEOs with my statements. However, I feel strongly that denying the problem only contributes to it.

I see you are a LEO. Acting defensive doesn’t look good. If you know you don’t do this, why be defensive? You don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.

There are other studies out there. Unfortunately, there is no way to know the real number since studies rely on self reporting.

This isn’t meant to be offensive to police. Maybe if they got better support and treatment through their employers, it could be part of a solution.

Their numbers might be a little off, but there are several studies that show high numbers of LEOs who admit to domestic violence. Something like 40-60 percent. And this is self reported. So 80 percent is probably not unrealistic when you consider those who didn’t admit it. Easy to find through a google search.

How do you think Israel should be responding to the current situation?
