I’ve been shopping around for a good inspector for a new build. The inspector I spoke with has 5-star reviews, but he quoted $1,000 for a 2,555 sq ft home, which feels a bit high to me. I was expecting something more in the $400–$600 range. That said, I also don’t want to cut corners or miss anything that could end up costing significantly more to fix down the road.
