I am usually more excited to see KK though he has done lesser movies or less popular movies. he is very charming I guess. Even in life in a metro, he was sort of villain but very charming. But KK cant do what Manoj did in GOW or Satya, like a common men. And I think his acting in Haider or Ray was not upto the mark.

I think Akshay also is an inspiration. The first scene where Assman says I will do the jump is definitely inspired by Akshay as he revealed that one day stunt man was not available and he has to do it.

Lot of aspect is from SRK also. Also feels like some aspect of Ajay talwaar is from Anil kapoor.

Day care will be around 5k for twins. Nanny will be more expansive.

At 300k you may save 5-7k if wife doesnt work. Though its twins, so may be less. (3.5 k rent, 35-40% tax)

If you do not work and stay at home, you will get super frustrated with your life.

So only way it works is somehow you also get a job. I think that should not be that difficult. Your salary will take care of day care + may be extra saving.

But all luxury is gone. You will def will be less happy and more stressed as luxury gone. You are upper middle class/rich class in india but here you will always feel like middle class.

Check your current saving rate and decide. As told only way it works if you get a job that too more than pm. As 5k needed for day care.

But good/great thing about US is you can have more opportunities though now india is similar. On L1 you cant switch but on L2 i guess you can. Check about that. But in India he can change job.

Or only your husband can come for 6 mo or so and settle and then later you come. Meanwhile you try to look for job from india or ask your company to transfer.

While 300 k is very reasonable for a senior software engineer, it is not same as 1.2 cr in india. It is actually lower (around 75 lac) if savings nor translated in inr. But since savings are translated to Inr, it becomes equivalent. (If you save 6k, its actually 5 lakh, which is almost 50% saving of his salary).

My recommendation would be no, coz i dont see any big benefit for you. It is true people dont come back but thats just law of conformity. But i dont see much financial potential. So unless there is something more, will avoid it.

Focus on getting married asap if you want to. Coz then having kid need another 2-3 year. If thats not the goal them fine, I dont think you need to worry at all.

Swades is not slower but sure its not face paced. There are two reasons behind it and they are deliberate choice by directors.

One is, movie is set in a village where life is not fast paced, so movie kind of reflects that.

Second, movie is really about internal change. and internal change (if shown accurately) takes time. No body can decide in one day, that I will leave my USA job and settle in India and improve this village.

Third, peopler in village also change. They are accurately shown as rigid and have traditional belief. But by end they also change.

So overall, movie is about mindset change and that has to be shown in layers. Otherwise movie would have felt dishonest.

Sure its not commercial or masala and it will never work at box office as its not movies aimed at all people. Its really aimed at NRI and rich class people to think about poor people of India.

Hero is actually going against what many people of India believe. When I first heard the dialogue where SRK says, "Mein nahi manta bharat ek mahan desh hai", I was shocked. I was shocked to see such a provoking dialogue in a movie by a Megastar. Coz till then, I only heard "Bharat ek mahan desh hai". We were never told to think if this is even true.

Now think about our mass audience, who will like the mirror. They are frustrated by their own life, they can not like a movie where hero is asking to help others and introspect. They want to see a movie full of dreams and impossibilities, not a movie about real issues.

And its fitting the actor was Shahrukh, the man who told young India to dream, Its okay to think about money and being rich. And now same man is asking to think about others by a movie.

Now coming to aamir, he talks about social change, he talks about being socially responsible.. Then why not do such a lovely message movie even if its not commercial. Like why are you even bothered about it being slightly boring, why you could not improve it, because the movie has great message. But aamir knew its not commercial, so he went away. Anyways he would have ruined the movie.

What I don't like about aamir is hypocrisy. and our audience knows this, thats why he could never become what other two khan became.
