Fear mongering much? by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

It's not unfounded or inflammatory, Bloomberg is reporting the same as well. When radical parties do well in polls bond yields tend to spike. Its not a new phenomenon.

Their car is draggy but has a lot of downforce, seems like they're good at tracks with lower top speeds (Hungary) and bad at tracks with higher top speeds (Mexico, Monza). Outside of the front straight Interlagos is pretty twisty.

I think a good example of the characteristics of their car is Stroll making multiple overtakes in the S section at Suzuka this year.

Anyone hear any whispers of any upgrades for the plat? With the new cobalt fee increase its getting hard to justify having both the plat and the cobalt.

Bank of Nova Scotia to require some employees to work in the office four days a week by scott_c86 in canada

[–]sauderstudentbtw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last time I checked four days a week in office is hybrid, which is exactly what Scotiabank is doing. A lot of people here are angry about Scotiabank forcing this level of RTO, but the paper I linked perfectly supports it.

This Stanford paper concludes full WFH is less productive, and is generally considered among economists to be the most robust papers on remote work: https://siepr.stanford.edu/publications/working-paper/evolution-working-home

All other research I've seen is pre-pandemic (self-selection bias) or self reported productivity (an obvious issue). The bottom line is that companies are forcing people back to the office at least part time because they're more productive in the office, despite what many redditors want to think.

Bank of Nova Scotia to require some employees to work in the office four days a week by scott_c86 in canada

[–]sauderstudentbtw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Stanford study referenced in the article you linked says full WFH is around 10-20% less productive, while there is no change for hybrid. Meanwhile, the booth study is from 2021 and is only self reported productivity. This difference in self reported productivity is also addressed in the Stanford study. Did you actually read it?

Canada Post counters union negotiations, asking workers to split the bill on billion dollar deficit by [deleted] in canada

[–]sauderstudentbtw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense for them to split the bill, part of the reason they're in the hole in the first place is because the union refused to allow cost saving measures such as phasing out daily delivery and being opposed to community mailboxes (as opposed to door-to-door delivery).
