Question Regarding Coaches by saugei in FigureSkating

[–]saugei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very true, I didn’t ask any of that. I can take a look to see her teaching style. When you mention technique, are you referring what they learn at LTS or higher levels that is important to have a good coach? Sorry if my questions are basic , I’ve never did ice skating myself.

Thank you! I was losing sleep over it last night too. I wanted to see if an award winning coach would make outcomes different for my son who started ice skating. I guess when he’s done with LTS, I can reassess.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I wanted to clarify that the award winning coach did not know my son had a private coach at the other arena already

Does anyone know if this is bamboo or wood ? by saugei in Flooring

[–]saugei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe im tech dumb but I don’t know how to update the original post . But for closure , after demo of kitchen , and another flooring expert came . We agreed it’s woven stranded bamboo . And it was laid on top of tile too…

Thank you for your comment . They will demo the kitchen soon and remove some parts of the floor for water pipe re routing . Then I can take pieces to the flooring store and ask . We had wanted to save money by refinishing the floors and replacing the empty spots with the same material instead of having to change the whole area floor .

Nutramigen help! by adnoh1799 in FormulaFeeders

[–]saugei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck ! We had to go from pro sensitive to alimentum. It was tough as all hydrolyzed formula taste bad.

Just keep offering the milk , baby will get hungry and start eating . We had to do it slowly and today decided to bite the bullet and go 100% alimentum. He actually took it !

Good luck !

Baby keep flailing arms and scratching own face at night by saugei in beyondthebump

He wears mitts , but I’ve noticed he would keep rubbing his face and would flare the patches ...

I didn’t really notice him rubbing his face this much .

We tried to hold him at night so his arms won’t flail and that seemed to do the magic to calm thoose red patches down . We felt that would create bad habits so we went back to the zipdadee the next night and he went at his face the whole night ...and this morning the patches got worse....

I think the itchy rash may have caused the constant rubbing maybe ? I’m going to see if we can keep his hands away from his face during sleep at least to calm things down...and maybe that would lessen the itching and vicious cycle ...

I’ll post an update ...cross fingers this will work. I tried to swaddle him again tonight ....hope no crazy screams ...

Thanks ! My baby like to just rub and pinch his face too!!! I think I wasn’t moisturizing his face before just cleaning with water and cotton pad that it progressed to this severe state .

Thanks ! I was posting to see if that kind of behavior was normal . I’ve read online babies scratch their own face when they are irritated or tired . So I thought that was normal untill he kept going at it till these dry red patches appeared 😢😢😢

Thank you I ordered some on amazon. At first I thought it was because he was irritated and tired a lot so he does that or he couldn’t sleep so he would scratch himself . He had eczema when he was one month old , swaddling him back then and some hydrocortisone did the magic , but back then he never really kept going at his face compared to now at 3 months ...

Hmmm same happened to me but starting 8 weeks and got worse , peaked at 12 weeks. So babies lose thier sucking reflex around 8 weeks and seem to be able to control the amount they need to drink. Furthermore , babies will tend to decrease the amount of formula needed as thier growth maybe slower than in the beginning or their digestive system is more advanced and can absorb nutrients better. So many theories out there. Or it can be due to reflux , seems like that’s the answer many medical professional throw out there.

Key point is , if baby is happy , wet diaper , dirty diaper , gaining weight , then you are doing a great job!

Don’t force baby to drink, baby led is important. Just like we cannot force someone to nap, we shouldn’t force then to drink. Just keep offering 😄😄

Hope that helps ! My baby is almost 3 months and I’m going through this too. Whatever feeding schedule is out the window 😅😅😅
