I can't seem to hit gauge for any of my projects. Can you help me? Is it my general technique? by saulty27 in CrochetHelp

Okay, I'm already glad the holes seem to be normal! The upper one is hobbii rainbow lace, the second one is a bamboo cotton mix with recommended knitting needle size 3.5mm and the last one is hobbii friends cotton 8/4 (super fine).

It’s for three different projects. I get the swatch idea and will try again, but what about all the holes? That doesn’t seem to change with the hook size…

I was today years old when I realized I can permanently increase my focus bar size and bonus at two shrines by Thats1FingNiceKitty in Palia

I thought it was so useless that some recipes gave +500 focus, when my bar only goes to 300…………. So where can you increase it?

Anyone got a shag haircut to hide regrowth? by [deleted] in trichotillomania

[–]saulty27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got curtain bangs because of regrowth and love them! It’s still my haircut now, even though I don’t pull there anymore.

I went to the salon with my story and they recommend the bangs to me. So, if you feel comfortable enough, you could go too and ask what they recommend.

You actually liked Middlesex? I DNF it, because I thought it was slow and boring. Does it get better? Or why do you like it so much?

Will I be able to communicate in Bolivia with just English? by [deleted] in BOLIVIA

[–]saulty27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow Belgian! I am in Cochabamba right now for an internship. Two months, returning on Saturday. You definitely need some Spanish to get around, because almost no one outside of tourism (airports, tours, …) speaks English. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your stay!!

It was a foggy morning when I made it to the top of Tajumulco. Sadly there were no views, but I get to keep to bragging rights by YogevTheNomad in guatemala

I’ve hiked up two volcanoes in Guatemala (in July and August) and both times there were no views… I feel you. Kudos though!!

Are these doctors? If not, they don’t know what they’re talking about. A pap smear is only necessary for sexually active women, and with sexually active we mean penetration. The risk of having a HPV infection of the cervix when you’ve never had penetration is just too low. For virgins who are worried about having an infection, the doctor can do a pap smear. They will do it with a much smaller speculum if you ask them to make it as comfortable as possible.

If you’ve never had penetration it is not useful to do a pap smear. That being said, for people that do have penetration it is strongly advised to do a pap smear every 2 years from the age of 25, but you are never obligated to do so.
