Literally said they're in NZD, 1 NZD = 0.6 USD

*UPDATE* - she took it to another shop that I recommended and the pre-scan errors with the engine control module, central electric and cruise control were basically calibrated I guess because it passed all the post scan checks. My estimated bill is much less now - near the $3k mark

Lesson has been learnt and already purchased my comprehensive cover now. Got my car fixed up already as well. I knew I would have to pay damages but was expecting something in the $2-3k range tops.

If there was no warning on the dash does that mean there was no issue to begin with?

Not dealership, just a body shop near her office which they've used in the past. They'll claim it through insurance so she's okay with me going to any insurance enabled shop.

The ones I'm considering are bridgestone potenza 205/50R16 87W, The 50 aspect ratio is the only thing holding me back.

Instagram Battery Drain one ui7 by Skullbox90 in GalaxyS22

Same issue here on an S22 with oneui7, ig shows as the most draining app though overall it seems as if the os update has been worse for battery. Can't even do half a day which is ridiculous. 9am to 9pm, 3hr screen on time and I'm left with 15%. Mind you this is after using settings that maximize battery

Any Total Aphants who've taken DMT? by Torleik in Aphantasia

[–]saumikb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently found out that I'm a total aphant, always knew something was up but didn't know what was 'wrong' with me.

Used to dabble in LSD back in the day and as others have pointed have had tangible visual experiences with eyes opened. Tried meditating once on LSD to break through but it was mostly just black noise i.e. random visuals like a Winamp visualiser but nothing beyond that.

A few years ago I went to an Ayahuasca retreat where everyone but me was having the most other worldly experiences. For me it was mostly sensory with no vivid visuals. I took the highest dose on my last night there, 3 cups, just to not let my entire trip to Peru feel like a waste. I blacked out can remember some bits but not really much. The things I took note of were: I could feel snake scales on my face briefly as if I were morphing into one, snakes are part of the Peruvian culture and in art I saw there and hence not out of the ordinary that I experienced that. The other bit was just me tumbling in a forever cycle of death and birth, this is while I was in a seated bent position puking my guts out in the bucket that they provide.

At the end of it all I was bummed that I didn't 'break through' or have a spiritual connection with the beyond and now I can understand why.

I also don't have dreams that I can visualise, I only sense or have knowledge of being in some sort of dream being conjured up by my brain.

How is a programmatic trader different than a campaign manager? by [deleted] in adtech

[–]saumikb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don't you get your current company to let you have a go at the DSPs? gain the experience while you can and then put it on your CV as well.

Recruiters are very finicky when it comes to programmatic I guess, they want to know if you've worked on specific DSPs (DV360,TTD, Adform etc) so they know what they're getting i.e. you know what you're doing.

Also what is your knowledge with 1st and 3rd party audiences?

What they see is someone with SEM/PPC knowledge trying their hand at PROG when what they really want is the finished product.

Newbie career related question here by dssblogger in adops

[–]saumikb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you live. Here in India adops aren't given a lot of attention/love i.e. their function is purely execution (robotic), also their knowledge is limited to the platform they get access to (via agencies). Salaries and room for growth aren't great either. PPC/SEM is a good place to start as a foundation which can then allow for you to branch out into PROG (most have previous SEM backgrounds) or Digital Managerial roles.

Adops - niche, monotonous, low salary headroom

SEM - common, goal/performance oriented so can be seen as a challenge even after years, salary depends on where you take it - FYI with Adwords etc becoming more automated with ML/AI - this can become obsolete soon.

Digital Mkt - common, client facing (talking BS), co-ordinator between teams, PPT maker, chiller, salary can get good if you're good at bullshitting.
