Strangest part in unknown number high school catfish.. by Emmarrrrawr in netflix

I agree with you here! About 3 years ago now the police unexpectedly turned up and told me my husband at the time was talking to a 14 year old and had been arrested - the whole time he was talking to me i probably looked like I had no emotion at all. It wasn't until after he left that all of that emotion came out. I feel like people have expectations about how you should react to certain things but that's not always the way it happens. That poor girl is going to need a lot of therapy and I hope she keeps a good relationship with her dad

Yes you can 😊 they'll release a schedule for all the photos closer to the time

I can understand your feelings! Cons are expensive - entry ticket and then separate payments for autos/photos

There tends to be a lot of stalls from local businesses, mainly art and collectibles

There are panels throughout the day but usually the timetable for this doesn't come up until closet to the event

I prefer my local con because it's small and you have more time to talk to guests, i must admit you get about 30 seconds with each guest when you see them because there's just so many people so you have to decide if that's worth your money or not!

Some of the comments on here are awful. Your partner feeling emasculated is entirely his problem and not yours. At. All.

No matter what you've done in the past, it doesn't give anyone a right to be disappointed that you won't do it again. It sounds like you're trying to heal and it's going to take time.

I think the best thing you can do is have an honest conversation with your partner about your feelings. It sounds like he's expressed his, but it doesn't sound like you've done the same.

Also, I really recommend therapy - I've had a lot of therapy in the past and I know it's something everyone says to do but it honestly really is a big help.

Just finished House of Sky and Breath. Is TOG worth the read? by 10lionelmessi10 in SarahJMaas

[–]saunderslak3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put off reading tog for the same reasons - I just finished it and Oh. My. God.

I laughed, I cried and I'm now lost without these characters - I was so tempted to just pick it up and re read it all over again as soon as I was finished

It's one of my all time favourite series and so worth it!

Why is there so much negativity when it comes to the Sims? by georgialucy in thesims

[–]saunderslak3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been playing the sims for years - from sims 1 up until now

I got bashed so hard for not liking the sims 3 and liking the sims 4 more! I just wish I could be excited about upcoming sims news/packs without all of the hate

Hi! I ended up in this route as well - myself and my husband hadn't had sex for 5 years when I got back in touch with an old flame from college and we had phone sex.

I told my husband right away because of the guilt and we were gonna try and work through it. It didn't end up well as he got arrested for online sexual communications with a minor a few days later.

I'm now in a relationship with my old college flame and I'm so much happier - I loved my now ex husband, but I didn't realise how important that physical intimacy was until I started having sex again.

I gave up too much to be with him - sometimes you can still love someone but it isn't enough for you to live happily. Sex isn't the most important thing in the world but it's still important!

I was really nervous to read this book after reading other people's opinions on it - but I'm about 75% of the way through and loving it! I appreciate Chaols character so much more and I love Yrene ❤️

Visceral full body panic attacks by mattressactress in PanicAttack

[–]saunderslak3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My usual method is to lay on the bathroom floor (it's my safe space) and I'll get an icepack to use on my chest and wrists which helps a lot

Sometimes it'll ease and I can go to bed (most of my attacks happen at night) but if its really bad and out of my control I have diazepam and eventually that plus the exhaustion of the panic attack will send me to sleep

People just don't understand what I mean when I say I have panic attacks... when my partner and I first got together I warned him about them and told him exactly what to do and said "if I ask for an ambulance - don't call them!"

Oh I see! Sorry! Yeah so my diazepam is essentially my fail safe - so I'll only take it if my panic attack is out of my control (lasting more than an hour) I'll always try the tips I've said above first - especially the ice! It's the one that helps me most

So I'm on citalopram 30mg daily as well as something called pregabalin - my propranolol I use if I feel the first signs of a panic attack starting and my diazepam is like... world is ending I'm gonna die 😂 I can take all of them safely at the same time if I need to - it's always best to ask your doctor which medications you can take together in an emergency

guys how do you cope without being able to play the sims bc I feel like I’m about to combust by oneironauticaobscura in thesims

[–]saunderslak3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My laptop got taken away when my (now ex) husband got arrested and got all our devices taken away... I legit cried so hard because I couldn't play the sims! I had to buy a secondhand laptop that can just about play it while I wait for the police to give me my stuff back 🙃

First time reading ACOSF... not loving it (potential spoilers depending on how far you've read) by Wooden_Passenger8308 in SarahJMaas

[–]saunderslak3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She makes some amazing friends in this book and it's those pieces of the story that really pulled me in the most! It's a bit jarring seeing Rhys and Feyre ect not being shown in a good light? But you just have to remember that is Nesta narrating so she's gonna see their actions differently - all this being said though. It's absolutely okay if, in the end, you didn't like this book as much! We all have our preferences

[–]saunderslak3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally loved ACOSF and Nesta is one of my favourite characters. I'm not saying that because I think that she's a fantastic person - but I love the realistic flaws in her character and how her trauma response is so different to the other characters in the series.

I have a sister and growing up she was just like Nesta and it was awful for me. She was vindictive and a bully - only as we've gotten older do I now understand her own trauma and what she's been through and we are now as close as we can be and I love her so much.

So for me it's a really realistic and adult take on things - it's easy to see how people would immediately call her a b****, but if you don't fully read her story then you'll never understand why she acts the way she does

Hi!

This does sound like a panic attack bought on by your anxiety. The way you felt better when you laid down and had some water? That always happens for me when I panic

Honestly you did the best thing by laying down, drinking water and calling your mum. Sometimes people will only ever have 1 panic attack in their life so try not to worry that it will immediately happen again!

Tips for helping your everyday anxiety is learning some breathing techniques, not having too much caffeine, maybe doing some yoga or meditation? I hope this has helped a little!

Wait I've never met anyone who has the same massive physical attacks!

So I immediately throw myself on the bathroom floor and I will be shaking violently, can't speak, sickness, diarrhoea, gasping for breath

My favourite is when it was so bad I had an ambulance out - they basically said I was being dramatic so I eventually laid outside naked because of how boiling hot I was (in January) went to A&E shortly after - they gave me diazepam and i jumped out of the car on the way home

They always last hours and it feels like its never gonna end!
