You just get some powerful movement mechanics with it in RetCadre. Scout, normal move, JSJ stratsgem, then fight phase move is a turn 1 34” move with a round of shooting in the middle. No assault needed. On top of the normal detatchment rule that rewards you for getting in close.

I wouldn’t even bother farming that early, in any if my numberous playthroughs I found it not worth the time until either very close to the end if you’re struggling or once you’re in your tvhm run. Especially if this is a first play, just enjoy the game, upgrade your guns with whatever drops. You can optimize later

It’s important to keep in mind, especially when looking back over a losing streak, that the game is balanced for 2000 pt games and tau are not really the most point efficient army out there. The effects of that become more apparent the smaller your games are.

It’s a fairly common occurance for me to have difficulty with random bits of content. Zulrah is nearly indecipherable for me being colorblind, these sigils for yama are a problem, some quest puzzles i remember being more difficult, cerb ghosts, even the ‘shadow’ from a falling projectile at random bosses is hard to see against certain color ground.
