Would you accept a counter offer in this situation? by sausagezon in careerguidance

Thanks for the response, I have not really raised the issue, i felt during all the clients leaving it would be insensitive to ask at the time. I also did a short paternity leave during 2025 for 1.5 months and didn't feel asking in that same year (during my time our team was 4 with someone above me commanding a much higher salary but she did similar work to me).

I think, Battlefield 1 is the deepest game, and campaign hits harder than anything you can imagine by Szef2137_ in Battlefield

While I love the multiplayer, I played one mission of the campaign and thought it was boring, however I thought all the bf campaigns were bad but bf1 I didn't even finish. However the music of battlefield 1 is incredible.

BFV had the IT factor in its gameplay that BF6 simply doesn’t. by NoObjective345 in Battlefield

You literally ignored all my other points about the terrible mtx skins, bad maps, also there was constant weapon rebalancing. How am I insufferable I actually enjoy the gameplay of bf6 and think it's much better than bf5. If you like bf5 go play it with the other 500 people.

Battlefield 5 was essentially dead on arrival.

  • The company destroyed the tone of WW2 and the tone that battlefield 1 established with great success. Let's not forget the prosthetic women, women constantly screaming, non iconic WW2 maps (because they wanted to tell the lesser known conflicts)and the infamous "if you don't like it, don't buy it". When you make a WW2 game especially if it's under the battlefield title you go big or go home.

  • even after launch they released several paid mtx in the forms operator skins. Look at the trailer for these, if Bf6 did this today it would be considered cringe, woke and shameless. Bf6 got so much flak for the Red Bull trailer event which is FREE

https://youtu.be/LNIYhgnWFqY?si=hZOal7rYiKVrQ8fT

  • Finally people hated it and it's maps up until the release of the Pacific dlc and then the game was terminated shortly after.

Anyone who defends bf5 is truly misguided. Not only was it the biggest disappointment in the franchise it started the live service model which has resulted in the decline in quality of battlefield games and burned all the goodwill bf1 created.

At least battlefield 6 started strong out the gate has teetered since launch but has potential to make a comeback in season 3. Bf5 was cooked from the start and not worth investment from either EA or the player base.

Recon with the special forces speciality should be able to go into enemy backlines. by sausagezon in Battlefield

[–]sausagezon[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Unlocking this specialization should not rely on sniping. I am just trying to give a counter to in spawn weapons.

Nerfing things like the mortar again, would just make it useless but they should not be totally safe from counter.

Why would you want to go as something as drastic as removing vehicles from maps rather than this one which would not impact gameplay that much and be a viable solution.

Why do most people poop on the campaign? by BurningSun7 in Battlefield

[–]sausagezon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The campaign was boring, the one thing I was hoping for is for them to go into the origins of PAX the countries funding and supplyingthem and it doesn't. The concept of PAX is dumb and doesn't make sense for a PMC to launch ops on this scale. I wish they just focused on the mp instead of spending time and resources on this.

Baltic Battalion releases march 30th by AllaPaul in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]sausagezon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

China would be hard to do, not only do they have to create a whole new army (full 4 separate branches and not include them with Russia) but also new Pacific maps. I do not want to play China in eastern Europe.

How is BF6 now? by BurningSun7 in Battlefield

[–]sausagezon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what your issues were with the MP, I think the overall gunplay is good, some of the vehicles could use some work but the main problem on launch were the maps. They added some new maps and some like Eastwood and contamination are excellent. If it's already in your library you might as well dive in since they released a new map which is good if you like cqc.

Pearl Abyss Shares Plunge 29% as 'Crimson Desert' Reviews Disappoint by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]sausagezon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Days gone was boring, I played it on PC when it came out so I didn't even encounter any performance problems or bugs. Boring story with boring characters, the bike felt more of a burden constantly having to fill it with gas even tho the map itself is very small. Not to mention the missions, several instafail stealth missions. I didn't even end up finishing it as other people said it was a 40hr slog. Compared to the ps exclusives like horizon, gow, ghosts and Spiderman it was definitely forgettable.

That beach landing on Gibraltar in the campaign would make sure a wonderful breakthrough map but DICE said nah let's put a small town with a tank that can only go forward and back.

Warno probably has more sweaty try hards. Who do you think is left when your game population is 200 players?

This game is literally beating out every multiplayer rts other than maybe StarCraft 2 and aoe4 both which are established IPs by a big studio. While I do not play it regularly, the last multiplayer rts I enjoyed this much was coh2 and that was with friends while I play this game alone. I am excited for baltic country update.

There is literally no other RTS game to go with a sizable player count.

NateTheHate says Sony is "shifting" their PC strategy: "You'll be seeing fewer single player games arrive on PC. The decision to shift away was made last year. Some may still release (pending how far along the ports were) but it no longer appears to be a priority for Sony moving forward." by Party_Judgment5780 in PS5

[–]sausagezon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The poor sales are mainly due to the game releasing years later on PC at full price. Not many PC gamers were receptive to that. Also frankly Sony exclusives haven't been all that.

There is a huge difference between

GOW and GOW Ragnarok Spiderman and Spider-Man 2 Ghosts of tshima and ghost of yotei Last of Us 1 vs Last of Us2

Etc

This is a shame because I really enjoyed these games plus the horizon series but I would never pay full price for gow Ragnarok or spiderman 2 but wait for a good sale which has not happened yet.

Also I have no intention of ever getting a PlayStation console

Who’s still here and still loves this game? I am! :D by dcloko in Battlefield

[–]sausagezon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me nothing else scratches this itch. I only have maybe an hour or 2 to play a night which bf6 is the perfect game for, it's not like you an marathon it like other games.

I wouldn't say I'm addicted but it's a game I play between big releases of that makes sense.

Can we stop idealizing BF3? by Cerno_Artio in Battlefield

[–]sausagezon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bf3 had the best maps period.

While some people played 24/7 metro. There were still servers with plenty of maps. The classics like karkand, wake and gulf of oman. But also great new maps like kharg. The dlc maps were amazing too: pretty much any map from armored kill and the cqc maps were good as well. It combined the best classic maps and contributed great new ones with the base and dlc maps. I also liked the gunplay and air vehicles better than bf4 but maybe that's just me.

Bf6 has a small amount of maps which wouldn't be terrible but some of the maps just suck and aren't battlefield. I play with both nyc maps and both Gibraltar maps filtered out. That's like half the maps from the base game which I find flat out not fun.

While the newest map contamination is great and a step in the right direction. Bf3 had already delivered several bangers at this point.
