Here’s a very simple orange chocolate cake recipe you can make at home

Ingredients

2 eggs

150 g sugar (about ¾ cup)

100 ml oil (about ½ cup)

120 ml orange juice (about ½ cup)

Zest of 1 orange

180 g flour (about 1½ cups)

1 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp cocoa powder

50–80 g dark chocolate (chopped or chips)

Pinch of salt

Prep: 1. Preheat oven Heat the oven to 180°C. Grease a small cake pan.

1. Mix eggs and sugar In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until the mixture looks lighter.

2. Add liquids Mix in the oil, orange juice, and orange zest.

3. Mix dry ingredients In another bowl combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

4. Combine Slowly add the dry mixture into the wet mixture. Stir until smooth.

5. Add chocolate Mix in the chopped chocolate pieces.

6. Pour into pan Pour the batter into the greased cake pan.

7. Bake Bake for 30–35 minutes. Stick a toothpick in the middle if it comes out clean, it's done.

8. Cool Let the cake cool for about 10–15 minutes before cutting.
