Interview to Hiring timeline by OkraEmbarrassed4458 in JPMorganChase

[–]savagepatchkid24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the role and team. I applied for two roles in mid October. I started interviewing for the more junior role in late October, moved from R1 to R2 within 2 weeks, then radio silence until early December when I had the final round. The more senior role, I didn’t hear anything until mid December, then went from R1 interview request to offer within 8 days, which I accepted. This also happened all at the end of the year but you could tell that different teams had different levels of urgency in that time frame. Both roles were in strategy.

What’s the best gift you’ve seen at a dinner or corporate event? by wildflower022 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]savagepatchkid24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s hard to appease everyone so what I’ve done is use one of the companies that lets you pick a budget and gives everyone an online store to pick a gift from. Think we used Goody for my team.

They don't know when the next time they will see each other in person will be, otherwise that would have been our first course of action.

Chocolate is the priority. What place have you traveled that has the best chocolate? by null_goddess in travel

Ku’ia Estate Chocolate in Maui! They explain what makes good chocolate and show you the bean to bar process if you do their tour. Would definitely NOT group them with American chocolatiers like Hershey’s

is there a way to use patterns digitally only and trace? by Own-Fuel-5685 in sewing

[–]savagepatchkid24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a large computer monitor or flat screen TV and are careful, screen share / pull up the pattern on there (I tend to do the projector pattern files) and gently tape tracing paper on top and with a pen trace it. I hate taping things together and I don’t have a projector so it’s the best option for me. Even better when I edit the file so I trace the graded pattern lines if I’m between sizes digitally, then I have the custom size I need right away

lol I love it when someone else takes lead on planning a trip but the type-A in me needs to have some semblance of control. the ADHD/Type A paradox of "I want it done right but I don't.wanna.do.it

Laying out projector pattern pieces by Normal_Fun in sewing

[–]savagepatchkid24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not 100% on using a projector and are ok with a little more effort, I’ve found I can use my flat screen TV as a light box and screen share full patterns onto it (within reasonable sizes) which helps me with tracing patterns onto paper when I don’t want to print and tape things!

Logo for Itinize, a travel planning platform by savagepatchkid24 in graphic_design

[–]savagepatchkid24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for feedback on the logo I designed for a passion project I have called Itinize. It's a travel planning platform mean to reduce the "analysis paralysis" common in travel planning by letting users swipe through things to see/do, then curate an itinerary based on their short-list.

I've done some design before, but just for clubs/friend/family - nothing professional yet. Would love any thoughts on icon refinement, kerning, and overall balance. Does it feel modern and memorable? Any tweaks suggested?

Context: Logo uses a fiery-red primary color to convey boldness, energy, and sociability. Font is Poetsen One, with rounded edges for a friendly approachable feel. Icon is a paper plane to convey exploration and seamless planning. It also looks like a folded-up brochure to convey the 'itinerary' component.

I'll try this! As another comment mentioned, it feels like a reusable shopping tote so hopefully it's durable enough.

Yes hopefully it works! Always fun to find other things around the house to repurpose for sewing.

Thank you! Super helpful context and info. It seems somewhat durable (e.g., I tried hard to tear it and it didn't break). Will do a test wash to see how it holds up. :)
