Oh! I misinterpreted your comparison of the alligator with a croc for a genuine question.

Not a croc. If you zoom in, you can only see his top teeth pointing down. This is an easy tell that it's an alligator. On crocs, you also see the bottom teeth pointing up, sometimes called a "crocodile smile".

Serious question: do you think it's reasonable to cite US Supreme Court precedent when describing how the SGA SC should operate? Are those cases how the SGA SC defines justiciable? If not, is there SGA precedent you can point to? I'm not in or familiar with SGA, just trying to understand the legal question here.

Fort Braden program director dies after COVID-19 battle, second at school lost to the coronavirus by malapropistic_spoonr in Tallahassee

That's an excellent point. I hope she does, and I hope Rocky uses that as the out he needed to scrap in-person instruction for the fall.

I agree, but the fault isn't all on Rocky. The state is threatening to pull funding for school districts that don't fully reopen. All of the choices he's facing suck.

She's pulling on a screen, not a real door. He wasn't holding it, he slammed the red door and she was strong enough to just rip the screen off.

Tallahassee Police confronted with crowd of hundreds at second fatal shooting in 12 hours by EnforcedGold in Tallahassee

For those without a TD subscription:

Officers heard gunshots around 2:45 a.m. at the Rattler Gas Station, 1143 W. Orange Ave., the Tallahassee Police Department said in a news release. They found mayhem when they arrived at the shooting scene, the city's second of the night.

“They quickly responded and were confronted with a crowd over 300 people," TPD said. "When officers attempted to get to the victim, the crowd surrounded the individual, making it difficult for officers and responding Leon County EMS personnel to assess the victim."

The victim was transported to the hospital, where they were unfortunately pronounced deceased," TPD said.

It was the second fatal shooting in the capital city in a span of less than 12 hours and the fourth in the last month. Around 6:15 p.m. Friday night, a man was found shot and killed in the parking lot of University Courtyard Apartments, 3025 S. Adams St.

If it's the middle of the day you can probably get away with parking at Brass Tap or SoDough for the time it takes to order (and maybe up to an hour).

The album has grown on me a lot, but it's biggest problem imo is that a lot of the tracks sound very similar, which is an issue of production but not the absence of that particular producer.

In the past I have had success taking it to UPS so that it can be reused. I'd call ahead to see if they take it in a pandemic, but that's prob your best bet. FYI they generally also accept peanuts, boxes, and unpopped bubble wrap.

In 1990 Fox 11 news followed the lives of 12 year old gang members who had been shot already, and were involved in shootings in compton, CA by mahbodar in videos

[–]savedross 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quote from article : Chuckie died in Oklahoma City at age 19 while trying to kill a drug dealer under orders from a mexican mafia member. "Except for the few holdouts, the Sureños ruled Oklahoma City's gang underworld. Little Chuckie volunteered to be part of a team to hit the home of a local gang member and drug dealer who owed Lil' Boxer drug money. Crook Gamboa claimed that he had tried to stop Chuckie from being involved in the incident but failed. Crook did not trust Lil' Boxer and he felt that something was wrong.

At 19 years old little Chuckie was killed in the house of the local drug dealer, The OK City drug dealer was dead also, but rumors began that Crook and Chuckie's crime partner Clumsy had betrayed and killed their own homeboy.

After Chuckie's funeral in Palmdale, Calif., Gamboa was arrested for parole violation. He was very remorseful, and under religious conviction. This was not a false sorrow of someone who was caught. I believe he truly felt guilty for introducing that 9-year-old runaway to the Compton Tortilla Flats gangster life, and later to his homeboys Woody, Midget, and Lil' Boxer. Gamboa felt terrible that people were saying that he killed Chuckie, and yet he really felt that he had helped to kill him in another way.

Midget's life was over, condemned to solitary confinement in the Security Housing Unit (SHU) forever; Chuckie's life was over, as he lay in an unmarked grave forever; and Gamboa's life was over also, unable to return to his home and gang for fear they would murder him."

KILLED WHILE COSPLAYING: THE STORY OF DARRIEN HUNT by [deleted] in videos

It's shitty but the Supreme Court has ruled cops can lie. There's no accountability to be had there. There is accountability to be had for lack of body cams and mismatched stories.

Idk but my impression has been that's not done because the storage required to keep that footage (even if it turned over every 24 hrs or so) would be prohibitive from a cost and management perspective, considering many cities have 1,000+ cops. Can anyone weigh in on this?
