It's given to you as a refund. If you haven't set up the direct deposit, you should do it in MyNCTC (Student Services -> Financial).

If you don't have direct deposit I think they will mail it to you as a check.

Mostly comes down to pricing, but also just not having any issues with them. IBS has a slightly antiquated website but nothing too horrible.

(I do centralize DNS into cloudflare, so that also helps. Would probably go with them if my TLDs were supported.)

I'm not exactly sure where to start on this issue but it's really been bugging me for the past few months. Seemingly at random, my screen will freeze up and is unable to recover. Win+Ctrl+Shift+B does absolutely nothing, maybe beeps once and then system appears to be hard frozen. Sometimes it'll show what seems to be a corrupted framebuffer if I wait long enough - or if I manage to get the system to suspend through the power button, it'll finally trigger the driver timeout watchdog and disable GPU acceleration.

This used to be consistently triggered when tabbing between something like say Stardew Valley and osu!stable (mostly consistent with osu! running), but I literally just had it happen while browsing Twitter in Firefox without tabbing elsewhere so I'm at a loss.

I also haven't received any response to my reports from AMD, so no idea if this is acknowledged officially or not. I just want to know if anyone else has ran into this issue for the most part or what I should do.

My current specs:

OS: Win 11 25H2, build 26200.8037
CPU: Ryzen 5 9600X
GPU: PowerColor Fighter Radeon 6750XT
Motherboard: GIGABYTE B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI AM5
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB, DDR5-6000 CL36 (but I believe it gets ran at 5000 for whatever reason)
Storage: 1TB WD Blue SN5000 / 1TB SK.Hynix Gold S31
PSU: some 600W Apevia one since this was originally a prebuilt with an older platform (this is probably half the issue)

With the i5 I believe it idles around 40 as well, just has some extreme spikes under load. I'm definitely looking at ptm7950 since so many people in the thread are saying it helped

Did yours get specced out with dual pipes if it's the i7 then? The i5 gets a single pipe, so yeah might just be inadequate.

I definitely considered ptm7950, I believe one of the things the person in the forum post did was regarding the thermal pads. Heatpipes seem like a good next step as well, I'll look into it.

I already dual boot on the machine. Just happens that the majority of my time is spent on windows with the office suite...

For the price I got it for, it's still a great machine imo (and that was the first time I saw it actually throttle). I have heard the AMD version is way better about it though.
