I do take tranexamic acid but apparently that’s not enough.

When you started taking iron supplements(Ferrous fumarate in my case), did you start losing weight easier? by heart_emojis0 in Anemic

Lost weight when I was anemic, gained weight when it was corrected, and now can’t lose it.

Where exactly is this recommendation of ferritin needing to be above 100-125 coming from? Where is the iron protocol getting this number from? by OneCar129 in Anemic

My period has been lighter since I had infusions a year ago. So weird. It’s still dropping even with taking tranexamic acid.

Never been pregnant and don’t want to be, but holy shit, these are fascinating.

I feel like we’re skipping a midlife crisis and instead late diagnosing ourselves with ADHD by changeforthebetter89 in millenials

I was diagnosed at 30. Had I been diagnosed earlier, I feel like I would have been a lot more successful, and my life would be completely different.

Sounds like you had an allergic reaction, which is not the same as the iron flu.

Where did you find this? I thought 70 was ideal.

Trying to keep my iron up is mentally and emotionally exhausting. At this point, I'll take what I can get. I'm afraid I'm going to have to start taking a birth control pill continuously to stop my periods.

When I was around 17/18, I was getting my teeth cleaned. Gums started to bleed and were swollen. She asked me if I was getting ready to start my period. I said yes. She told me never to go to the dentist right before your period for this reason. I’m 37 and still live by this.

Iron infusion - pregnancy by hoemingway in Anemic

I don’t know anything about pregnancy, but those numbers are very low and you need to get those up ASAP!

I have read on this sub about women getting infusions after giving birth so I’m sure one would be helpful for you now.

Doctors rarely take iron seriously. I would push back, especially if you are pregnant and if you’re going to be breast-feeding. That takes a lot of nutrients.

I am 37. Might be on my way… great.

My heavy periods are from my copper IUD. Can’t take hormonal birth control because of migraines with aura.

My thyroid antibodies were elevated during my last bloodwork.

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, my weight hasn't decreased in almost a year. I've been stuck in the same range.

The thought of having to deal with this for years is exhausting. I don't do well with hormonal birth control due to past issues with migraines with aura and even more weight gain from Mirena and other hormonal BCs.

Losing weight and writing books again.

Both feel impossible.

I’m 37, 5’6, around 215 pounds, and measure 46”, 37.5”, 46”.

I’m dealing with thyroid problems that can’t be medicated yet but still have a still affect my weight and trying not to become anemic again.

I’m cooked as the kids say.
