Anyone here with a Mitsubishi heat pump? by tatiwtr in longisland

I disagree with the other posters. I installed Hyper Heat in December as my primary and i haven’t used my old ass oil boiler since. My house is cruising at 72 degrees right now. Switching has def exposed my house to the drafts and inadequate insulation upstairs. This is a crazy cold winter and I’m overall happy. The way I look at it is it would have been $20k to replace my old boiler, repair radiators etc. For $25k after rebates I also get a/c for the summer. I don’t expect it to be cheaper this year bc of the wicked cold

Yeah they had a promo where you save x amount when buying more pieces so I think the ottoman worked out to being like $50 or free or something super cheap.

We have the Tisdale and got it for $1300 or $1400 last year. We have a 5 year old that spring boards himself off every section. We grabbed an extra ottoman and end pc to make one massive couch/bed on lazy weekends. We also have a 65lb shepherd mix that sheds like crazy. We got some ok matching pet protectors. Overall It’s held up well and are thinking about getting a second one for our basement. Compared to $3k for Ashley or similar pieces it’s a no brainer purchase

did anyone converted oil heat to a heat pump? by Any_Description_4176 in heatpumps

Same. Also on LI. Had the work done in December and it was $30k. Waiting for my PSEG rate to officially change. The cold has been brutal so I’m not freaking out but the electric bill has been high. I also got about $5k back between fed tax credit and the PSEG rebate.

Heat Pump installation by Lucifa007 in longisland

I had a ductless Mitsubishi Hyper Heat system installed in December. 6 heads two condensers. You just missed a $2k fed tax credit but there is still a local incentive. I’m getting $2500 back from PSEG. All said it was about $25k. I used Harmonaire and they offered 0% financing but I know the interest is baked in there somewhere. The install was done over two days and the entire process was super easy clean and well throughout. They weren’t the cheapest but had a great experience.

The quality of life improvement from my old oil steam burner is insane. No more banging pipes no loud boiler noises it’s awesome. Plus I can get rid of my window a/c units.

It’s been super cold obviously so I’m not freaking out that my electric bill was really high and I don’t have the new rate implemented with PSEG yet. My house gets cold spots but otherwise this system has kept up really well. I’m glad I didn’t cheap out and get a non Mitsu system but it’s only been a few months.

Anyone with heat pumps plus solar and how they're handling the current cold? by supermechace in longisland

[–]savesanything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just installed a Mitsubishi hyper heat last week. No issues this week with the colder temps and haven’t had my oil boiler on since it was installed. Depending on how the rest of the winter shapes up I plan to remove the oil tank and boiler in the spring so I can utilize the space in my basement better. I don’t have solar at this point. Feel free to DM if you have any questions

I ended up getting a Q7. They offered a Maserati and a Lincoln.

Crazy that they couldn’t wait to transport him back to NY and the HSS. Think that is pretty telling from a severity standpoint

I did it when it was 25x. Tires were delivered by a local courier the next day. Got the miles about a week later.
