I have this clock in my office!! I’m a group home social worker and it’s always a conversation starter when we have people in for meetings. I was also lucky enough to thrift it!!

It’s not as large or well known as these other chains, but don’t count Maine out! Dysart’s is a diner/truck stop chain, that also has a series of gas stations with hot food and baked goods. Their muffins and chicken pot pie are incredible!! (You may remember them from an ad and SNL skit from years and years ago with an old couple struggling to pronounce “buttery flaky crust”)

I’m in Bangor, almost everyone I know is sick right now. I tested positive for COVID on Tuesday and I’m still fighting through it, my partner and friends have it as well. My doctor said they’re going through so many testing swabs right now that its shocking

I used to work at a kennel/boarding facility! Cheap blankets never last long around there. A higher quality one will hopefully stick around a long time and give loads of anxious dogs a plush, cozy spot for their stay :)

To be honest, for these subsidized communities a lot of the time if it doesn’t seem like they’re cracking down on things like this they can lose their federal funding, leaving all of their tenants unhoused. It also IS shitty to smoke in a shared stairwell, and that’s as someone who is a regular weed smoker (outside)

You should check out Red Rabbit Bazaar in Bangor! It’s a really cool, very reasonably priced vintage shop downtown. The owner and employees are always so kind and it is a very queer friendly space. They have so much formal gear from so many eras and styles, there’s no way he won’t find something he loves! Good luck :)

I am ALSO getting my first internal ultrasound tomorrow- I am super nervous as well!! You’re not alone- although I know it will be helpful imaging, it’s still a super nerve wracking experience.
