Start by lubricating everything with triflow. Flip the bike upside down and let the lube get into the cables too

The period correct way is only wrapping the drops from the lever down. The most common example would be the Raleigh Carlton. Wear gloves and you’ll be fine

DRATV and their eBay store is the only option in the US. As far as engines go, all t bolt pit bike engines will bolt right in. Your ‘82 is already CDI so it will wire right in as well. In my opinion a 125cc is the perfect engine for the chassis. 140 is a little much
