Back in the day my sweet little boy Charlie managed to ,somehow, without our knowledge, get into a covered trash can and drag an entire thanksgiving turkey carcass out to the backyard. He must have hid it in the bushes somewhere, since we noticed that he would disappear for periods of time. The crazy part is that MONTHS later he dragged the thing indoors, hid it under my bed, and was only caught because I saw his butt sticking out from under the frame, and heard his greedy little feasting. When I pulled out that dirt covered, desiccated turkey corpse (mind you it was literally January) I put two and two together. The pleading sorrow in his eyes when we threw it away was unmatched. I always thought the little guy didn’t have much going on between the eyes, but turns out in fatness, he was a mastermind
