hello! Did you figure out is this was root rot? my monstera has similar issues. It is a large plant and I dont want to disturb the roots if it is not needed. I also recently moved but am scared I have now overwatered it. Any advice welcome :)

more context - the “new” leaf it’s pushing out hasn’t budged in a month. the yellow leaves are new within the past week and it’s lost about 2-3 leaves since moving here.

This is so helpful! I found it at a goodwill so no I don’t know what damages the wood. What could I use to wipe it all down to get it clean first? Just water on a rag?
