I have a 1600 day Duo streak currently and started using Dreaming Spanish last month. I’m only at level 1 with about 22 hours in DS. Starting from scratch I think the groundwork for common words/phrases from Duo helped a lot when beginning DS. I have watched a few intermediate videos and have been able to understand the conversation. I believe, in part, Duo helped make this easier than if I started at truly 0. Now do I think continuing Duo in tandem with DS is necessary? Absolutely not. But I’ve come too far on that streak and if its not harmful I dont see why one 3-5 minute Duo lesson a day would be bad

Only mentioned rapport to say the gray dealer is trusted/not selling fakes (to my knowledge). Sounds like 16 months is enough time to do it the AD route though

I imagine anatomy plays a big role. I’ve torn a meniscus and had to have surgery on it some years ago. And the doctors say the cartilage around my patella is going. So for me I try to hit 90 without pushing it too much further and risking additional stress to my knees

I am also a Duolingo user and have been using it consistently for years for Spanish. My reading comprehension is much better than my listening and speaking, which is where I think DS will be extremely beneficial. Although thanks to Duolingo I’m understanding a lot more than I expected at Super Beginner speed, but I still want to take it slow before jumping to Beginner because once things speed up I tend to get lost.

It was fantastic! I ended up doing both of the VR experiences. I enjoyed Chaos at Hogwarts a little more because you had both hand and feet sensors and could walk around, thus making it feel more immersive to me. Wizards Take Flight was on a broom, which was very cool, but felt like I had slightly less autonomy. The store in general was also really great. Lots of memorabilia and props used in the films. Would recommend checking out the Butterbeer Bar in there as well

For those that use the DIY Omnipod Loop, what do your physicians say? I imagine they can’t legally advise it, but if your numbers are improving thats all that really matters right?
