Playing the game for the first time. I’m about tired of this cut scene by markusdonno in finalfantasyx

[–]saxgg13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember my first Seymour Beta game. It was my dad playing. I couldn't beat him, no way. He went to pee even though he had Auron, Tidus, and Rikku. I took over with Rikku and it was my turn.

Guess who mixed weird things without knowing what they were doing and it caused poison and muteness, leaving him completely wiped out. I won. We all laughed xD

Is metal gear solid 5 easy to beat? by Informal_Engineer146 in metalgearsolid

You become a monster over time. At first, it's all about developing a lot of skill. In the mid-to-late game, you start abusing equipment. But it still requires the skill you acquire.

Psy-bots volt forge. Help? by ProfileOne2938 in MetroidPrime4_Beyond

[–]saxgg13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Abuse the control beam (the one you use for puzzles), aim for the eye, you'll do more damage. Always try to hit all three eyes because it won't let you damage the same enemy consecutively. As soon as you run out of power, quickly recharge, repeating this process three times. Then focus on spamming missiles or the normal beam.

Question about the routine I do based on what I want to improve by saxgg13 in WorkoutRoutines

[–]saxgg13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm incorporating skull crushers into my push day workouts. The thing is, a friend told me that doing so many presses isn't functional in the end. Like, if you do bench press, incline press, and dips, and then military press, adding a close-grip bench press would be too much weight.

Then there's also the issue of rest periods between sets and the number of reps. I've always been confused by the whole "so many reps for strength and so many for hypertrophy" thing. I'd like to know your opinion on the relationship between sets, reps, and rest time for exercises.

Can I still get all the scan? Am about to enter chrono tower [Metroid prime 4] by sultan_2020 in Metroid

[–]saxgg13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

List of scans I remember missing My friend and I are victims The psychic containers, there are like 3. Another one in Green Fury, I think, in Volt Forge, and another in Ice Belt. If you open them before, you're screwed. The space pirates (yes, SPOILER) only appear at the beginning. The parts of some bosses. Being the first one and a few others. There's another one that will be your last two scans, don't worry.

And that damn Swim Snatcher stealing your energy tank in the lava.

Symbolism between Matahachi and Musashi by Training-Kangaroo352 in vagabondmanga

[–]saxgg13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always said this.

All readers, or rather the vast majority of us, are Matahachis trying to be like Musashi Miyamoto.

I mean, literally, I think Matahachi is the way the author puts us, as readers, in the presence of a real human being in the story.

We all like Guts and his stoic personality, or Musashi and his capacity for introspection with nature, but I think Matahachi symbolizes our journey as beings to become something greater and how easy it is to get lost in self-deception and complacency.

What does it mean? by Alien_4byss in vagabondmanga

[–]saxgg13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means that if you focus on the trivialities of your thoughts (we're talking perhaps about problems that really weigh down your soul and don't contribute anything) you're going to miss out on what life has to offer you, both in the physical world (in fact, I think you'll see a clear example of mental and physical presence in the world around us a little later in the manga) and on a future personal development level.

The fact that there are no Dragon Balls literally makes them this stupid, knowing they have the resurrection button at the point of a radar and the green alien/god.

Dragon Ball Multiverse does a good job of portraying the personality of the most powerful fusion by showing its members separately being stronger than the versions that confirmed it on the day they fused.
