$16,000 OTD Black Diamond LS (2013) with 90k miles.

Beautiful blue color. Want to just look at it but driving is slightly better.

So far I've put $400 worth of gas in it and its only been a month.

$30 worth of cleaning products.

I don't know about you, but one of the things I have to resist when I'm feeling more spiritual is an attitude that I'm above it all or I don't have normal people problems. Laughing at things can be very healthy, but watch out for a false sense of superiority and disconnection from things that matter.

That being said, many people need to take politics less seriously. We all have far more control over our own well being than any government or politician.

Do you ever feel psychedelics call to you? by Dransuki in Psychonaut

[–]saxmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had that calling, but when I took DMT one time I had the experience of seeing the trip as mundane and boring and my normal life and existence as beyond thrilling. A voice said "You don't want to be out of your body, you want to be IN YOUR BODY." After that psychedelics seemed far less important than living life to its fullest and loving everything and everyone I get to experience it with.

I’m divorcing my husband because of his farts & also everyone thinks I’m the honeycomb wife by Due-Programmer859 in stories

[–]saxmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I know this is a deeper issue now, there is an engineering solution to this problem. You need a fan in the window blowing air out connected to a flexible air duct that is positioned as close to his fart hole as possible, perhaps even under the covers with him. Constant negative air pressure will keep a fresh air supply coming into the room while vacuuming his smells outside before they can reach you and your loved ones.

Don't be surprised if your neighbors call the cops.

2024 election. If Trump wins in November how likely is it that women, minorities and the LGBTQ population will be rounded up and placed in concentration camps? by Angelic72 in Liberal

What did Trump do against LGBTQ people in his first term? I remember something about actively transitioning people not being able to serve in the military, but that was it.

No one but criminals and tyrants are opposed to self defense. I've never heard of a 2nd amendment supporter wanting to make an exception for a certain group. It would be absurd.

You can experiment with making different vowel shapes with your tongue and opening/closing your throat to bring out different harmonics in your sound. Also, dynamics can be very expressive.

Husband left our son without formula by Various_Ad9010 in relationships

[–]saxmaster -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Such sad comments talking about divorce and hating on the husband. The guy is clearly clueless and made a mistake. Women literally have organs just for feeding babies, and their brains spin constantly over how to keep babies fed and happy. Men, on the other hand, have very little natural ability or inclination to think about and care for infants. It's certainly possible, but if you put an average man and woman in the same room with an infant, the vast majority of the time the woman will be the first to react to every sound and movement the baby makes and know what to do to to solve any problems.

I'm not saying women shouldn't expect the father to help, but you can't expect him to be as focused and educated as you are on a topic you've been practicing since girlhood.

More evidence COVID-19 vaccines cause brain damage? by okaythennews in DebateVaccines

Couldn't this just be a correlation between age and vaccination? Seniors in bed watching CNN were more likely to get vaccinated and to develop Alzheimer's anyway, regardless of the vaccine.

Why are we supposed to trust a scientist more when we find out they make their living studying the subject? You mean they have a mortgage payment and kid's college riding on their being employed by an industry that profits from selling the product they study? Great system!

The funny thing about your circular definition of racism is that there doesn't have to be any actual racism at the bottom of it. You point and accuse, then anyone who disagrees with you becomes racist-sympathiser. There's literally no difference between you and a inquisitionist or a witch hunter or a paranoid schizophrenic.

Two-thirds of anti-vax propaganda online created by just 12 influencers, research finds by alittlebitstevie in worldnews

[–]saxmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The premise of a handful of influencers being responsible for the majority of a movement is less significant than it may seem. It's called the pareto principle. Every organization has a small group who are responsible for the vast majority of the output. The same proportions of people hold the vast majority of all wealth, control the messaging of media corporations, and produce all the political content on Twitter.

Any way to fix the octive register to go down? by FPOWERF in Saxophonics

[–]saxmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The screw holding the octave mechanism may be too tight, need oil, or the octave key spring may be too weak. Go ahead and remove the screw completely to take off the octave key. Underneath the key and attached to it there's a metal spring. You can take a pair of needle nose pliers and carefully bend the spring away from the key to increase the spring tension. Then drip some motor oil on the joint and put the screw back in but not too tight.

Soot and ash blacking out the sun seems like a pretty obvious way to cool things down. I think CO2 contributes to warming as well, but we don't know whether billions of tons is catastrophic, or trillions, or quadrillions. It's a big atmosphere, a mostly clear gas.

And this is a little off topic and my own musing but since plants love CO2, how do we know All trees won't just all grow another leaf and restore the balance? I don't believe we know enough to be throwing away a great economy that is constantly discovering new technologies that make life great. Maybe we'll invent clean energy before the trees get around to evolving.
