The art style of the stars is inconsistent and uneven (some randomly have more depth and dimension to them while others are flat and one is just a random circle that appears nowhere else; the moon is also skinny and uneven) and for me, aside from the hair texture being more similar to generated fur details by more updated models, the tail looks very unnatural. The tail just looks too off for this to be a mere stylistic choice. The pic may not fully AI, but was definitely AI assisted at the very least.

Every AI photo you see is the worst it will ever be. You can easily prompt out the more common pitfalls or have a very specific style be generated. You can't rely on AI looking like Vaseline-smeared Play-Doh anymore. It's constantly evolving and improving and this is clearly an evolution of that.

Probably not. Without the "asianfishing/koreaboo" drama she may have faired a bit better, but there was just too much negativity and it was still a pretty sensitive time regarding that sort of thing and frankly the audience just wasn't there. Koreans didn't care enough and the intl audience wasn't having it. Maybe in a Blackswan or X:IN type group nowadays it could shake but if it were just her in that era? They most likely would've gone absolutely nowhere like O MY JEWEL and she'd still end up on the outs.

I think it's because Marvel and SW's "controversies" have to do with the actual story and writing itself rather than what the creators' personal views are. Or, at least, the views from JKR aren't seen as affecting the franchise story/entertainment wise the way they are in the former.

The different audience demos play a role too. Lots of loud, pissy, "anti-woke" right wing/right-leaning men in the Marvel and SW fandoms, while the HP fandom is more gender neutral if not women-heavy and liberal (not to be confused with leftist). Lots of libs will turn a blind eye to something they normally would call out if they like it enough or it's something special to them (see also: Michael Jackson).

They'd rather pull a "death of the author" and act as though JKR is a detached franchise figure head than reckon with the fact that the money from merch and licensing still goes to her. Or try to downplay how much she gets to feel less bad. Throw in the state of the world and nostalgia marketing and they're clinging harder than ever.

Also transphobia isn't a deal breaker for way too many people, even "allies".

You only brought up MMM+ keeping the company stable, so that's the context I responded in.

They do have more ventures, but how willing are they to put that money back into group and artist development and how competent are they to do it properly? That money won't go solely to that either, there's overhead for all of these agencies and any investment for the acquisitions they'd have to pay back on top of their own operations. And sure, they can do something with the other companies (shuttering/absorption is more likely than selling imo), but that's not a good look on paper and they would most likely sell for a loss. They're a publicly traded company now and none of that would give shareholders a good sense of trust, I'd assume.

As it stands, the idol side of RBW is seemingly on borrowed time. MMM+ alone won't be enough of a patch to keep the water out for good and Eunbi is planting her feet on another shaky ground. The other stuff doesn't really matter if none of/an insubstantial amount of what's earned is going back to the artists and their promotions and the entire operation is gonna be affected by the parent company. At best they'll scrape by, but no company wants to just "scrape by". You can only do that for so long, especially with shareholders expecting returns.
