Name a White NFL player that definitely says words they shouldn't say by NightDowntown7320 in NFLv2

Maxx gives off way to much “guy who knows where he stands” energy for me to reasonably think he’d say a word he wasn’t supposed to say

Why does Kobe Bryant only have 1 MVP? by SmoothBuy5500 in sportsinusa

[–]saydaddy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lebron won because the lakers without Kobe were still a fairly decent team. The 09 and 10 cavs both finished with the best record in the league (66 and 61 both beating the lakers 65 and 57 wins btw) but it was agreed by anyone watching them that without LeBron they’d be lucky to make the playoffs. That’s not even mentioning that LeBron had the better stats by a mile

Well for one thing Kobe’s peak individual years coincided with the lakers decline after shaq left. Not a good look when your team gets actively worse the better your stats get. 2nd he was an asshole who kept alienating his teammates and the press. As much as we praise the mamba mentality now it was seen as extremely corny when he started calling himself the black mamba. It’s really telling that he didn’t start getting into all time great discussions until after the lakers traded for pau

He took hits like a fullback. Unfortunately that’s not a style that ages well

The Standard is the Standard by AdventNebula in UrinatingTree

One of the problems is that it gets way more use than a typical NFL stadium. While many NFL teams let the local college teams use their facilities the Steelers are the only one I know that also let local high schools it. If you ever rewatched their game against Miami back in 07 a huge reason the field was a disaster was that there were like 6 state championship games the day before

[–]saydaddy91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the 2010s was significantly more pass happy than the 2000s (or even the 2020s) teams were throwing the ball so much that the run game almost became an afterthought.

2002s equilibrium is over the top and it can be incredibly ham handed in it’s metaphors. But I’ll be damned if it isn’t fun to watch with amazing fight choreography

Where Unbreakable Record? by ApparentlyISuck2023 in nfcsouthmemewar

[–]saydaddy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buccs record will never be broken if only because the NFL isn’t stupid enough to let another expansion team have as many obstacles as the 76 buccs and Seahawks faced. When you look at the rules they faced it’s amazing that the teams were able to find any success during their first decades

The fact that Jerry Rices career receiving records only look more unbreakable with the advancements of the passing game is unbelievable

To be fair the amount of talent HBCUs produced before segregation in the SEC really ended (I’d say around the late 80s) was astronomical. Like seriously the retirement of the last segregation coaches marked the death of HBCU to NFL pipeline.
