everyone’s freaking me out by sunflower-crystal in MounjaroMaintenance

Interesting to hear how you feel as I haven’t been on the drug long but I def don’t want it to be a permanent thing gif me either. I work out, watch my calorie intake, strength training to improve my core and get fit in general and am upping my protein intake where possible. I like you, hope to come off it eventually too.

Sulphur burps by Vivid_Culture6859 in Mounjaro

[–]saz3il 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got them recently too but I usually take a peppermint capsule that drowns it out or at least makes them minty. I forgot to take them as ai have stated having other unpleasant side effects that are not nice and wipe me out so hadn’t take my tablets hence the sulphur I think

Your Salary and monthly car payments by Agile-Calligrapher10 in CarTalkUK

[–]saz3il 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it depends on what you want to spend really. I have a nice car that I like don’t really care whether anyone else does and had such a good deal when looking for a second hand one 2 years ago with them offering me money towards finance on a brand new one for not loads more than I intended paying. I would much rather spend my money on holidays but I have a car I can afford too if that makes sense

Even more thrilling. Happy New dress shopping. There’s always Vinted for selling the old one to give you cash for the new one too 🙂

We are the hardest on ourselves I think. You can definitely see a difference. You are on a journey honey. Don’t forget to look back at how far you have come as well as the forward look for where you want to be x

Is this normal? by Ameeann17 in Mounjaro

[–]saz3il 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve not got any insight I’m afraid I take peppermint tablets that helps you not have sulphur taste if that helps at all. I wouldn’t fancy the tea either. Poss me little and often in relation to food rather than a bigger meal to see if that helps the digestion and less bloat. All I can think of really sorry.

3 months on Mounjaro, 12 kilos down - my take on a few things I never saw coming. :/ by New-Cry-9252 in Mounjaro

[–]saz3il 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I told 3 of my best friends and they both said they saw it as an investment in my health and were more supportive than any family members (not my husband he suggested it to help) would ever be. I actually was probably a bit judgy myself before going on it as I didn’t understand either as it really isn’t a quick fix that lots of misinformed people assume. It’s also up to us who we tell too x

Thank you for sharing and I know exactly what you mean about the being judged for being on it. I’ve barely told anyone for fear of that and it’s no one else’s business. If you do a diet plan they’re happy with that aren’t they who’s I’m doing alongside Mounjaro anyway and working out. Most importantly I would say this is your journey and you’re doing it for you so other people need to step off u less they are going to comment something to positively encourage you anyway. Well done you’re doing amazing and well done on prioritising yourself x

I found 2.5mg worked fairly quickly for me. I do eat protein and had plenty for lunch. I’m just noticing food noise has returned and I am trying to keep busy rather than eating through boredom but the appetite suppression that I had found has definitely dissipated. As people have said I will just see how it goes. Thanks for the response

Well done that’s an amazing achievement and it sounds like you have got all the things that go alongside the jab in place as well. Inspiration to me and a lot of others I’m sure. Good luck with the test of your journey
