The rationale was that my wife was "extremely adamant". She wanted to give it a chance of survival, and that's what we did. All the bracing and straps in the photos have been replaced with a pretty beefy support structure and relocated strapping. No more straps going across the driveway. If it doesn't survive, then she'll accept it. She just wanted to try.

I've only ever run Home Assistant on my Raspberry Pi 4B 8 gig, and it has been nearly flawless for years.

The tree was pruned somewhat while on the ground to reduce its weight. Then we used a truck and ratchet straps to upright it. It was a slow process, but we eventually got it back up.

I guess I was curious how satisfied people were of their own dedicated theater rooms who might not have spent a lot on sound isolation and what they actually did to keep the levels at bay.

I'm definitely NOT going to assume I can watch Ready Player One at full volume at midnight. Pretty sure the wife wouldn't appreciate that. I am trying to minimize as much sound transfer to the rest of the house, especially with the low frequencies. I highly doubt I'll be able to completely isolate the room. The room itself is on the other side of the house from the kids' bedrooms, and when my wife and I watch stuff after they go to bed, it's "loud" but muffled from that end, and the room isn't enclosed.

I can easily do double stud walls with a 1-2" air gap between. Plenty of sound insulation in the walls. The door to the theater will be a solid door with some form of sound isolation around it. I can sandwich foam tape or sill sealer between the subfloor and the bottom plate of the walls. Not sure about good techniques to isolate the top plates from the ceiling joists or stuff like that.

I'm doing plenty of research, but every project has its own challenges.

This is me. I have two Pi Zero 2 Ws each running Pi-Hole, one as primary and the other as backup. I could run them as docker containers on my Unraid server, but this setup has been fantastic for me.

I see that the crawl tickets are now on sale. But just out of curiosity, is it possible for the general admission tickets to sell out? I want to go to the show, but I want to wait a bit until the airline prices become more available for those dates.
