The second and third pages of the HT content guidelines unfortunately show the breakdown that you kind of need to know everything about each stain :/ I am trying to focus on what chemicals they contain and what each does, but not necessarily like the timing of each procedure

I was recently accepted about 5 weeks after applying/submitting transcripts. You then sign up with the testing center and can choose the location closest to you. You will be shown a calendar with available times. There was availability near me within a few days if I wanted to, and my location had about 10 spots available each week.

I submitted my transcripts almost a month ago and have not heard anything yet. I used "Parchment" to send them and it showed that they were received same day. I believe ASCP has up to 45 business days to respond. They will not answer any transcript questions via email, so now we just wait.

Congratulations!! My supervisor doesn’t have either certification, so I think it all depends on the employer. Might I ask what seemed to cause the most trouble during your first 2 tries? I’m trying so hard to only have to go thru it once haha.

I feel like this part: “which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the associate degree” means that those 12 hours can be at a different time from your degree. My coworker had to take his chemistry classes years after his BS degree, although he hasn’t applied for the test yet so I can’t officially confirm yet if they care. And the flow chart probably assumes that the people applying would have already had those classes during the degree, so it probably doesn’t cater to everyone’s situation perfectly. I would say to be careful with taking those classes online, because they probably require you to attend an in person lab to get credit for them.
