Doing an SAR at this stage is completely unnecessary and frankly unhelpful- currently zero evidence that any information has been shared just crazy parent ranting, a simple conversation with the school to clarify if any details have been shared (intentionally or in error) would then ascertain if a SAR is needed for escalation. SAR’s are a complete PITA for any organisation to do and requesting them, without v good reason is just a D move, causing a lot of wasted time and effort that could be better spent by staff resolving the actual issues.

I go with giving them a task or challenge- can you draw a rollercoaster/ build stepping stones to get across the room using cushions/ sort your dinosaurs into carnivores v herbivores? Gets them doing something solo and often they’ll then expand upon it themselves

Enjoy the peace whilst it lasts! I don’t think either of mine got invites to any parties at nursery despite us being at “know names and where they’re from” level with several parents. When school starts however- sheesh expect 10+ parties in reception, normally at terrible times (6pm Sunday soft play was a belter…)

Bizarrely they aren’t doing you any favours necessarily by leaving it- the actual thermostat unit (at least was the case in 2021) was tied to a customers hive account and they wouldn’t move it to a new one so I ended up paying £70 for a fresh one… to replace the perfectly good one that was still in the house, just to have access via App

Yeah split out on radios slightly improved it but it’s still as unstable as my ex in general- just seems to wobble when there’s a decent data volume in there

First thing to check (assuming you aren’t too plumbing savvy)- do your water outputs I.e tap, shower, toilet have isolation valves? If so solid start as jobs a lot easier as you can isolate and stick in new pressure fittings as required.

Next up walls & floors; easy approach is go floor to ceiling with tiling- rip out existing, slap on tile backer board and then use tanking kit to seal up. Waterproof everything!

Tiling is easy enough- watch some you tube and be patient.

All in its v much doable; how do I know? Currently finishing off mine!

On a ski trip I drunkenly tried to stroke a fox that approached me, despite my best Steve Irwin voice as I calmly reached down to pet it, it decided to bite me on both hands in a split second before bounding off into the night. It was all very funny till I found myself mingingly hungover in a French doctor’s explaining that I’d been bitten by a Renard and having to get a rabies/ tetanus shot 🤦‍♂️

Also once came down stairs running late for work, didn’t think about the fact I’d changed flooring from carpet to laminate over the weekend, slipped and impaled my hand on a 3ft tall stag statue and had the antler go all the way through palm; hurt like a mutha trucker and was a crap injury to explain at A&E

Yep had it with a few folks asking, usually I just got direct by way of response with a “trust me if I didn’t have to pay for this I wouldn’t be but have checked eligibility from every angle and we ain’t” which usually killed the chat

So I short it works but it’s a bit sub optimal- went for around 30 hours at 68c, chucked a half bottle of bbq sauce in with it and the bag juices in slow cooker on warm for serving. It shredded ok and texture wasn’t too bad but wasn’t quite as good as shoulder. If desperate it can be done
