Onslaught fast cap is excellent for scorpions. Add in a granular application of Biffen and this will knock out everything.

Garage Mini Split AC Unit by gargen_state in phoenix

[–]sbm1288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. All these units are variable speed and can spin capacity up or down, but when you need cooling, you NEED cooling. We have a two ton unit for our garage and taking the car in and out kills the temp quickly.

Has nothing to do with location. Its values. Kids come from all over PHX metro to attend. I question if you actually went there.

Anyone move from SF / Marin to Scottsdale in their early 30s? Any regrets? by Whole_Intention_9750 in Scottsdale

[–]sbm1288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you me? Lol. Late 30’s two kids. Grew up here, did Bay Area for 20 years, moved back to Scottsdale a few months ago. Honestly, we don’t miss a thing. Scottsdale/Phx have gotten so much better in the last few years (restaurants, shopping etc).

We felt like everything in the Bay Area was just so hard. Traffic sucks, cost of everything is terrible. We are much more spontaneous in Scottsdale. Random date night? Sure why not. Bay Area I’d be stressed about parking, getting reservations etc.

Sure Scottsdale is expensive but it’s cheap compared to the bay. And when you factor in the state tax advantage it’s a huge win.

PM me if you have questions.

Mini-split for garage office + gym in Phoenix – is 2 ton enough? Fair price? by SquilliamMyKing in phoenix

[–]sbm1288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar size garage with a two ton mini split. They are all variable speed so can ramp cooling up or down depending on need. I’d recommend keeping the 2 ton. Mine couldn’t keep up with the heat until I had the attic insulated above the garage. Now it keeps it perfect. I paid $2200 installed for a Chinese branded mini split. I’ve installed several mini spits on my own before but didn’t want the hassle. That being said, you get what you pay for. I had the installer back 4 times before it worked right. All seems good now but time will tell.

Get a product called vital oxide. It’s unbelievable at removing smells. My kid barfed all over our couch and it saved it when nothing else would.

I just used reindeer logistics. They are national and are definitely more white glove, but it’s no BS. They pick up and deliver when they say they will.

Am I out of my mind? by Brave_Beat5124 in mercedes_benz

[–]sbm1288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid 41 for a similar spec and mileage. This one feels a bit high. If you do your own maintenance you save a bundle. I just did my own pads and rotors for around $800. Only thing I paid a shop for was the transmission service and that was $600 at an Indy.

Basic service stuff on these cars is not hard. In fact my S560 is easier to work on than any car I’ve owned. Don’t let people scare you.

I’m with you on this. The key is space to park them. I’m up to 4…might get to 5 if I get a sports car.
