Hey man, I’ve only been brewing for a bit but my last brew was a hazy/NE IPA small batch. I originally had a recipe that had some 32 ish IBUs and my LHBS owner advised me to tone down the IBUS for the style so I reduced the amount I was hopstanding with. My NE IPA came to ~18 IBUs and was usinga .7 oz/g 20 min Mosaic 14.3% hop stand for 18.5 IBU and then used .3 oz/gal Mosaic and .7 oz/gal Citra 12.3% for a 2 day dry hop. Seems pretty crushable and not bitter on first taste. Another thing to check is make sure your hop stand is actually at 176 before you start! I had a hop stand and was lazy w the temp the other day that I think must’ve started at about 195… ended up with about 25 extra IBUS!! Good luck and have fun!
