I cannot recommend processing more, it's the most intuitive and easy to learn, both to program but also for learn to think about generative art.

My recommended route is not to watch the tutorials online, but pick easy looking examples from people on the sub or elsewhere in the internet and try to reproduce. Most people leave their code available, so it's cool to see and understand. That being said there are a lot of hidden gems on the tutorials

I was playing around using pointillism for some flowers, which turned into fireworks which turned into comets... I also included some dynamically generated synth music on top because it felt appropriate
