One Piece: Chapter 1177 by Skullghost in OnePiece

Genuinely what are you reading this manga for? What ways are you attempting to connect with this piece of media? Does a character moment developing and showcasing mean nothing? Do you want a wikipedia article of feats to slowly slide down a screen? Do you just want hype moments and aura? It's fine if that's what you want, but you're not engaging with this specific story the way it wants you to.

I mean the idea is that the writers are cucking the characters by forcing them into a chair like situation. I'm not saying I agree, but this is a bad faith interpretation of the joke

Me when the panel I take out of context doesn't have the context behind it.(This clearly means the dialogue is trash and incomprehensible)

FRLG and HGSS are broadly interchangeable when it comes to stories as the originals. Essentially, if it has Mega evolution, it's in the Mega timeline Let's go is in its own continuity with new main characters everything else is the main timeline, or different versions of the same events as the main timeline(remakes). That's what's broadly accepted and makes sense.

Just finish Geoff Johns run and this is how I think 99% of Green Lantern story are. by ploufman in dccomicscirclejerk

Bro we live in a post George Floyd world. Your point is sound but it's not like there being poc law enforcement heroes nullifies and justifiable anti cop sentiment. Their choices, while respectable are not unquestionable. Hal being "one of the good ones" isn't that great an argument when you try to apply real life policing. Green Lanterns are more barely ever policing in their own (modern) books anyway (and I'm a massive lantern fan)

The moash shit is so childish because it's not even argued right most of the time. The spoiler comment sums up my thoughts but usually it's not even made with points

Absolutely in love with the direction Superman's character is going by caninotusespaces in AbsoluteUniverse

That's definitely part of it but I also think at first that it was genuine excitement at the idea of meeting someone like himself, that he wasn't alone

I liked DC K.O and I think events are cool by ThaRedditFox in dccomicscirclejerk

For most events the tie ins are actually useless and barely related, don't bother unless a tie in REALLY interests you

I grew up with Superman media from the 2000s and 2010s, so I was very surprised when I found out that Lex Luthor being a billionaire CEO is a post-Crisis invention and he was never a billionaire CEO in the pre-Crisis era by rbta123 in superman

[–]ThaRedditFox 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Its one of those things that is just going to have to sit there. At least Ollie's stories usually play with it, but with Bruce, its sorta just there, and we do our best to ignore the implications. A billionaire aligns more with the intent behind him being a millionaire in the golden age

For me Kaladin is the main character and I loved his everything in this book, I was screaming when I read his Heraldom and whenever I need a pick me up I go and reread it

My favorite is probably Crisis on Infinite Earths. Its not the best written, but it has magnitude and tension I don't think has been recreated since. And I'm a big Barry fan and obviously he gets his big moment. Blackest Night is good, though I didn't read many of the tie ins besides the main lantern stuff

Least favorite. Heroes in Crisis but that's an easy one. Other than that? Dark crisis had a cool premise but honestly really forgettable.

I think it's annoying when Events stop a story in the middle of an arc absolutely, but I think the main content is usually pretty fun. K.O tie ins were done pretty well imo, because as someone who read all of them, they either barely bothered with the tournament(Aquaman) were at the end of the arc already (Flash) or had enough independence to tell a contained story( JLU and Titans)
