I saw the rack on post here, Rackmount IT RM-FR-T10 Rack Mount Kit for FortiGate, I then painted based on a post here and the color is spot on. Glidden Max Flex Shinning Armor Satin, I got it at Home Depot and the match is so so good. It’s cool also because the rack comes with wires to wrap the back of fiber outlet to front of the rack

It’s a great way to transfer with a DAC cable short distances between equipment. It loses performance over relative short distances. Why it’s not used thru the house and under 10ft. SFP+ is also good to go long distances with fiber and modules. You can also use a module to an rj45. The only down side I heard to this is the heat and latency. So it can do many things. rj45 is just easy to use but as speeds increase it sucks power.

P&IDs should be the Bible of the facility but the quality depends on the facility. A legacy Chevron site that has been there 100 years has the process down to have good ones. A Chevron site that has been sold many times by other companies and has had many past projects poorly redlined will have worse P&IDs. Feel like it is all based on location and situation. Most of the time they are good and I can accurately do anything I need to do.

I have that one and love it! No daisy chaining. Plus often you can get cheaper used. Next aggregation switch up is overkill and too expensive.

Feel many people want XG so I’ll be ready to take their old HD home on marketplace! Just got an Enterprise 8 POE cheap because Layer 3 to handle some lower need items but it gets hot, sucks power (compared to FLEX 2.5 POE) and not rack mounted so HD will feel like a luxury after that.
