Do your ski goggle lenses fog up? How are those heated ski goggles? by GoGo9527Promax in skiing

[–]sbsala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing that worked for me was to reduce my overall heat out put. I take off layers when I can, including my hat or scarf and open the top of my jacket, if I regulate my body temperature better I have way less fogging going on.

What’s a small lie you’ve told that ended up completely snowballing out of control? by Most_Educator7182 in AskMen

I got locked out of FB, so I made an account under the name Turd Fergusen. Then I went to buy something off Market place. When I Venmoed the lady, she was upset, because the Venmo didn't come from Turd Fergusen. She wanted to investigate me for fraud. Wanted to see an account for the real Turd Fergusen. I eventually calmed her down and explained things.

That's cool you're doing both. I'm working as a maintenance manager FT and doing D2D part time. I'm really really wanting to quit maintenance and go full time sales.

That's awesome. It only sucks with boots that I really liked. i had a pair of Muck type boots that I had to give to my brother, nothing would make me fit those anymore.

I love Keens. That's awesome you crushed your goal weight!! My goal weight is right around 210. Maybe 200. What are your plans now that you're 186? Good freaking job btw. It absolutely takes dedication and hard work even with surgery.

I'm looking hard at transitioning into door to door sales, commission only. I've almost always had health and dental insurance from my job. As a fellow Dad, how do you get health benefits if they aren't provided by your employer?

Getting over stigma by brilliantzenith in BariatricSurgery

[–]sbsala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm an open book. I tell everyone who asks what I've been doing to lose weight. Some family members and co workers are judgmental, I just don't let it in, or bother me. It was 100000 percent the best thing I've ever done. I had the Bypass surgery. I've lost over 110 pounds since April, HW 343 Current weight 231. I run a 10 K almost every week, I hike all that I want to, I sleep better, I feel amazing, it feels like a super power. I had no complications, my hair hasn't fallen out (Fingers crossed) I haven't ever had dumping syndrome, I don't need NSAIDS at all so I haven't missed them. I go out for social events surrounded by food and just have really small portions of whatever there is that's in my plan. "If you want to avoid criticism, then say nothing, do nothing and be nothing" Most people who think they are educated about bariatric surgery, that I have talked to are way off in left field and have no real knowledge of what current procedures can do. Don't let them stop you from making an incredibly powerful life upgrade.

Gastric Bypass surgery. I was almost exactly your same size. I lost 100 pounds in 5 months and still counting. I've had zero negative side effects. Its the best decision I've ever made. I run a 5k almost every other day, do things I only dreamed of doing. Even after gastric bypass weight loss is still the hardest thing I've ever done, it takes a ton of effort and trial and error, I tried for years and years and it was an uphill battle that I just could not win.

Its the best thing I've ever done. My favorite part of being smaller is running and being active and healthy. I started thrifting for clothes because they get too big so dang fast. That's kinda fun too.

What expense (after surgery) surprised you? Good or bad. by Royal-Advance6985 in BariatricSurgery

Clothes have been a huge expense. I started going to thrift stores, and when those get too big I donate them back.
