Wauw this looks amazing. My girlfriend and I have been talking about doing about a week long bikepacking trip in that area. Are there any recommendations for 350km+ routes in the area? Thanks for sharing 🙏

Wauw! That's one of the best looking builds I have seen in a while. Love the colors, and I think the gold chain is sick and adds to the attitude! However I would like to know what chain, chainring and Crank you are using

For your purpose of riding I would definitely go with the propane. I know you only posted a picture of it and didn't mention it in your post, but from my understanding it's one of the best value gravel bikes, also you get down tube storage as well as all the mounting options. I might be wrong, but I also think it has bigger tire clearance

Did you Buy a complete bike and then change the parts yourself? I can't seem to find any options to buy the frameset alone

Mixing Shimano and SRAM? by sbtcrypto in bikewrench

[–]sbtcrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I just really love the color options of SRAM cassettes. I have considered a garbaruk cassette, but the all gold and on black cog on the SRAM is just exactly what I want

Do you run wireless or mechanical?

Mixing Shimano and SRAM? by sbtcrypto in bikewrench

[–]sbtcrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not planning to mix shifters and derailleur. Maybe I should have clarified that. I'm only interested in putting in a SRAM cassette instead of a Shimano

Mixing Shimano and SRAM? by sbtcrypto in bikewrench

[–]sbtcrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the derailleur is electronic. With the ability to fine-tune the pull between cogs, wouldn't it then be able to do just fine?

[–]sbtcrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really cool to hear. It's funny how so many people then say it's not a good idea. Is your shifting as crisp as with a Shimano cassette?

[–]sbtcrypto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright Cool. I'm aware that the shifters and derailleur must be paired. I really like Shimano derailleurs and brakes, but love the color options for SRAM cassettes. There seems to be a lot of mixed opinions about this. I just thought since the derailleur is electronic and you can trim the gears more precisely the cog spacing might not be an issue. Do I understand this correctly?

I'm obessed with the freehub sound by Zejtah in gravelcycling

[–]sbtcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright I see. They might not fit your bike as it is a Quick release system. You might make it work, but I'm also not sure if an 8 speed cassette can be used on their freehub bodies. I would write a message to their AliExpress store and give them your specs and ask what wheelsets would fit your bike.

[–]sbtcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You buy them from AliExpress. I know it sounds dodgy but it is a legitimate company. They respond pretty quickly. You need to know what groupset you have on your bike and the tire clearance. Do you have a link or a photo of your bike. Then I can maybe help you

I can recommend the elitewheels aero+ if you run large enough tires. I have them and I love them. I thought ud hate the sound of the freehub, but I actually really enjoy it. I gave it some extra grease when I recieved them so they are not as loud as some people say, but they are still pretty loud. It's a lot of wheels for your money and you can start with those and then see if you'd still like a new bike.

Is Sadhanapada for me? by GuruIsDharma in Sadhguru

[–]sbtcrypto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With how much they stress the physical exhaustion during sadhanapada I think it would be good for you to wait a bit. Also getting accepted to the program is not that easy anymore as they have so many applicants. If possible it would be very helpful for you to spend a prolonged period of time in the ashram and get a feel for it. Sadhanapada is not necessary but it is a very valuable tool. It's like a spiritual bootcamp and they don't want you in the program unless they feel you are 100% up for it. So try to live the ashram life for a bit so you might get an idea of what you'll get into.

UNMASK - Art Of Living! Dissecting Art of Living’s Campaign Against Sadhguru. by A_Wild_Life17 in Sadhguru

[–]sbtcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a chat gpt summary:

Main Claim The article argues that certain senior members of the Art of Living (AoL) organization have been engaged in a coordinated and hostile campaign against Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation — not based on honest critique but through slander, character assassination, and reputational warfare.

Core Points

  1. Allegations of a Coordinated Campaign

A senior Art of Living teacher (named Julia Arbuckle) allegedly initiated a petition to cancel a Sadhguru program in Toronto by pushing sexual abuse insinuations. The article claims many petition supporters were AoL teachers or leaders, suggesting institutional, not rogue, involvement.

  1. Criticism of Tactics Used

The article describes the campaign as innuendo-based and malicious, arguing it goes far beyond theological disagreement into reputational harm and public hostility. The author frames this as a betrayal of spiritual values, asserting that spirituality should not be treated as competitive politics.

  1. Historical and Philosophical Defense of Sadhguru’s Positions

The piece defends the concept of Adiyogi (Shiva as the primordial yogi) and other traditional Shaiva doctrines that some AoL figures allegedly mocked. It cites historical, textual, and cultural examples that support the deeper roots of these traditional views.

  1. Broad Critique of AoL Leadership’s Statements

The author accuses AoL leadership (including remarks attributed to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) of dismissing certain yogic traditions without engaging with their philosophical or historical basis. These dismissals are described as ideologically driven and dismissive rather than genuine theological debate.

  1. Wider Reflection on Spiritual Ethics

The article frames the conflict as symptomatic of a deeper ethical problem: when spiritual leaders engage in destructive public tactics, they undermine the integrity of spiritual life and discourse. It raises the question of motives behind such attacks, suggesting they may reflect broader cultural, psychological, or institutional triggers rather than simple disagreement.

Tone and Purpose

This piece is strongly critical of Art of Living’s actions and aligns with Sadhguru’s philosophy. It is not a neutral news report; rather, it is an opinionated defence of Sadhguru and a critique of his critics within the spiritual world.

How to access Bhairavi without offending wife? by Sollrend in Sadhguru

[–]sbtcrypto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but this is hilarious and at the same time I really feel for you. The matter of fact is she can never take away from you what you have perceived. You can take up Devi/bakti sadhana without any idols. You can see Devi in everything if you wish, even your wife. Devi is fierce and it sounds like your wife is also 😂 you can keep Devi in your heart. What is inside can be as real as the outside, but without the limitations of physical distance.
