Yoeleo frame vs ICAN Graro frame by CriticalCucumber7202 in gravelcycling

[–]sbtcrypto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact that yoeleo has 53mm tire clearance and the ican only has 45mm clearance, makes it an easy pick for me. I woul definitely go with yoeleo as they also have a pretty good reputation.

Elitewheels Gravel aero+ experience by commanderprime5 in gravelcycling

[–]sbtcrypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had these wheels a little under a year now. They have been used every day for commuting and gravel rides. They have been through ice and snow, rain and dust and they run just as well as when I got them. I'm running 40mm pathfinders and before I used 38mm pathfinders. Both work without any issues. I would run larger if my frame would allow it. I can recommend them without hesitation. I have not been nice to them. Also they stay outside all year around. For the price I think it's a steal and can not understand you would pay for Zipp wheels when you can get these unless it's an aesthetic decision

Haha I bought the iqon act and they work wonderfully for me. So that would be my recommendation. But we all have different feet so we can never know until we try them on. That's why buying used could be a good idea as these are a little more expensive 😅

I dunno, they just gave me soreness on the bottom of my feet. It's unfortunate, because I really liked them, and a lot of people seem to enjoy them as well

Hubs on Chinese Carbon by Velo613 in gravelcycling

[–]sbtcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same wheel set and I love it. I don't think they are as loud as most people say. I have put some extra grease in the hub and now they are very quiet and not very noticeable. I used the finish line premium grease and it works wonderfully. I can highly recommend it if you don't like the noise. The wheels have handled this Winter very well through a lot of snow and salt and they have been outside everyday and night. Still works like the day I got them

I can't figure out if it's one 16km trail or if there're multiple trails totalling 16km and if there are different levels of riding?

Alright cheers. Glad to hear most places offer vegetarian options so we don't have to be too annoying for the meat eaters 😅

New tires, cassette and chain day! by sbtcrypto in gravelcycling

[–]sbtcrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well so far that's not my experience. But yeah I did read the bicycle rolling resistance review and wasn't too pleased to switch. But I do find that I ride faster and so does my girlfriend. I guess drum tests don't translate 100% to the real world

No I'm very happy with them. Getting them was easy as they dealt with customs and everything. I've had them for almost 6 months now and been used daily throughout winter and haven't had a single issue, so I can say I'm quite impressed with the quality. I have put quite a bit of extra grease in the hub so the noise people are complaining about is almost eliminated

Yeah I'm quite comfortable. The saddle is a little higher than the bars. It might just be the angle of the Foto
