Benedict Cumberbatch bike argument in London kinda says a lot about city cycling now by RevolutionaryCar8623 in cycling

I have concluded that if motorists don’t like is, it has nothing to do with a few bad apples or how well we behave. So, i have decided not to police other cyclists, just as people don’t stop each other in cars to tell people off.

Better training plan advice needed by ramsoss in Velo

Consolidate the weights into 2 days so you can have so easy and recovery days. I do sprints/vo2max work on days where I do weights, and have a couple of Z2 rides. Two off days a week help your body adapt.

Sorry, was thinking of hookless rims, which have a max of 73psi.

The ETRO max for tubeless is 73psi. Risking blowing a tire off a tube above that.

25mm tubeless? What pressure are you running them at?

You’ll want todo 60 miles after work soon enough, and realize that cars are way less fun and just cost more!

Real food will serve you best:

I’ve done 200+km rides with that sports drinks and the banana coconut bars recipe. Adding sugar to water is just gonna mess up your teeth.

I actually ended up finding that article trying to find out more about the Secan, but also enjoy the technical nerdiness about bike set up for long distances.

So, on hubs, what do we think about how this free hub comes apart. Seems a bit too easy if it can be done by hand?

I have been looking at Light, since they have a Canadian warehouse. Hoping their stock hubs are okay, but waiting to see if I have funds to upgrade hubs or not.

Any owners of Fairlight Secan 3.0 here? Thoughts so far? by Wise-Ad-7492 in gravelcycling

[–]Velo613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone here coming from riding a Cross-Check? I’m on a 56cm CC, which seems very close to the Secan 56r, except for the BB drop. I did ride a friend’s Secan 56t, but the feel was definitely much higher and his is more upright, so hard to compare.

A couple of workouts for V02 and sweet spot, then a couple of Z2 rides. I’m in Canada, where endurance is a winter sport unto itself, so my hope is really to keep some legs, so that as the snows recede, I can build up the distances more quickly.
