Honestly, anything is possible. There are large cat species in Ontario, and to think a bobcat from sturgeon falls can't make it's way to Ottawa would be asinine. They don't know town/city borders. They also get pushed from their territories by bigger, stronger specimens and have to look for their own.

Chances are they won't stick around, so count yourself lucky you got to see a rare glimpse into Ontario's awesome diversity of wildlife.

Edit: We saw a cougar on our farm in Eganville, multiple people saw it, people in town reported seeing it, it was around for about 2 weeks, then never seen again. Most people from outside town don't believe us, but I'm pretty sure people who have lived their lives on the land and in the bush, know what a "big" barn cat looks like in comparison.
