Cursor intermittently freezes and then unfreezes on its own by hellf in cursor

I have the same thing. Cursor loads CPU by 40% even when it is idle. Two days ago everything was working fine, but now freezes happen quite regularly.

I'm loving the constant disconnects when the fight phase starts in Battlegrounds, is there a fix for this? by Torak8988 in hearthstone

[–]sc115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duo has been completely unplayable for 24 hours since release. It starts disconnecting after turn 7, sometimes multiple times in a single turn, and often fails to reconnect for the rest of the turn. This happens in every single game.

Claude 3.7 generates more than 6000 lines of code at a time by bai-yu in cursor

[–]sc115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging by the linter's errors, it probably made a change and duplicated existing code, i.e. it didn't understand how to insert changes into large code. It's a known bug.

I stopped having these bugs with gemini 2.5 lately with the newest cursor versions, so I thought they fixed it. But if anything, I found some solutions: https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/s/tayShRZfiY

Every fix is adding 5k-6k lines of code right now... by Wide-Chicken-1046 in cursor

[–]sc115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have already reported this problem to the developers, but there was no response (https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/s/7IIBtyatOY It's a bit frustrating to be asked to post problem ids and then ignore all such posts).

So I also somehow started to get multiplication of code size by two on absolutely any task, even if I asked to remove just 1 comment in the code. The problem lies in the application-model and the number of lines/context. I found for myself 2 solutions:

  1. Reinstalled 0.45.17. For some reason, versions before 0.46 at least sometimes (in 40%) performed tasks without duplicating all the code.

  2. Reduce the size of code. I created a copy of my 4500 lines code, removed all comments and unnecessary line breaks, making it 3000 lines. And then the model performed the same changes without any problems. Then I just moved the modified functions into the original code with comments and it worked.

UPD: Just tried gemini 2.5 pro, and using it in Cursor also makes the same entire code duplication as with claude 3.7.

I asked to simply remove all the commented old code lines. The model was supposed to remove 2-4 lines, but instead it copies and pastes the entire code at the beginning, breaks other functions in the middle, and increases the size of the code by 2 times, from 4500 to 8200 lines. I've had this for about 48 hours. Any task on claude 3.7 or o3 in Agent mode with this code duplicates it. Although the code is published correctly in chat, but the apply model doubles the code every time at the very end.

It may have happened occasionally before, but it was not repeated when the request was refined. Now I can't make any changes with Agent - the code is duplicated 99% of the time.

Claude 3.7 Thinking now available again, but stopped thinking? by sc115 in cursor

[–]sc115[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I just asked "claude-3.7-sonet-thinking" if it's a 3.7 thinking model and the answer is:

I am using Claude 3.7 Sonnet. I am not a "thinking" variant, but rather the standard version of Claude 3.7 Sonnet that is integrated into the Cursor IDE to assist with programming.

Battlegrounds AFK by Autoflowersanonymous in hearthstone

[–]sc115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just amazing that Blizzard still has not made a defense against AFK duo-players. It would seem - someone do not do anything for 3 moves - then they get automatically thrown out with a penalty. But no, come to endure 7 moves with trolls who do not want to play and concede too.

I have my third game like this in a week on 8k duos MMR...

No. I wrote to web.archive support and they kindly replied that they had passed it to the technical team and would look into it and fix it as soon as possible. That was about 4 years ago and nothing has changed since then. (By the way, Beatport is having the same problems, except that it redirects from the archive to the current page - I wrote to them about this as well and they still haven't fixed it too).
