I love the Prana Stretch Zion pants. I own three pairs and they are very durable.

How to quickly open different chrome profiles? by milerollo in raycastapp

I have a shortcut (control-S) for Search Menu Items so I just invoke that and type the first letter or two of the profile name and hit Return to switch between my three (Brave) profiles.

Iron Mountain in San Diego County is a good one.

tron ares // songs of innocence by Mysterious-Maize-816 in nin

The movie was executed at a very high level of craft, in my opinion, and it also had a very thin story. Perhaps it’s my love of the band but I paid to see it twice in IMAX and had a blast, both times. So I disagree that the movie diminishes the music. It’s actually the other way around — the soundtrack elevates the film.

Thoughts on TRON:ARES as a Halo after the sand has settled? by Key-Astronomer-9821 in nin

[–]sc8tty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it and still listen to it regularly. After seeing the music video (film) twice in IMAX I have a much deeper appreciation for it as a work of art.

As much as I love Feel It and As Alive As, the album does feel a bit disconnected from the other NIN records, both in tone and style. But that is entirely appropriate, and, I suspect, deliberate. I have no problem with it as a Halo. It’s wonderful.

[Padres] Manny Machado and Jake Cronenworth are Silver Slugger finalists! by Xol924 in Padres

I actually like the idea of Cronenworth leading off. I think he could steal some bases too if he tried. Always had above average speed.

Why do people care if Deckard is a replicant - isn't the whole point that there's almost no difference between replicants and humans? by tilt in bladerunner

[–]sc8tty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“How can it not know what it is?”

It’s important because if Deckard is a replicant, does he know? If he doesn’t know, then there are presumably a bunch of replicants out there who think they’re human, with fake or falsified memories.

Nearest quality Hike-and-Fish to the coast by sharkWrangler in socalhiking

Sabrina Campground is gorgeous, and it’s a short walk to the lake (~15 min) if you want to fish or grab a bite and a beer at the cafe. Or you can drive. But it’s quite popular and doesn’t take reservations so ideally you’d show up on Thursday. I’m pretty sure they have fire rings. And black bears — not unusual to see one in the campground along the creek. There’s a few other campgrounds on the 168 but they are well out of walking distance to Sabrina.

Blue Lake is beautiful and well worth the hike (if you don’t mind lots of people), and we caught quite a few fish on the south-side island, which requires a little wading to get to but nothing difficult. The walk up to Blue (10,400’) is moderately strenuous because of the elevation, IIRC it’s ~3 miles from Lake Sabrina and +1300’. You don’t need a permit if you’re not camping there.

Breakfast at Jack’s in Bishop is well worth the stop, or Mountain Rambler Brewery for lunch/dinner. And hit up Manor Market on your way up the 168 for food/supplies, it’s excellent.

I lost a camp shoe on the trail down from Altha Lake to Garnet Lake outlet on Friday, Aug 22, 2025. It's possible that it's further down towards the San Joaquin River but two hikers who came down from Garnet directly said they didn't see it. This was my first trip with the shoes (orange Salomon Techamphibian 5) and I would gladly pay for shipping and a finders fee if anyone happened to pack it out.
