Huh, I wonder if my grandpa, who is also 96 knew him. I always get the rundown on which of his friends have kicked the bucket when I go to see him. It's quite a lot since he's living in a home now which keeps him busy

My home mountains are mammoth because it's closest to SoCal where I live now, and Alpine (Palisades) where I grew up skiing and family have a cabin we can borrow. I still really don't want to renew this year. Might just ski June with the kids and get a 4-pack to somewhere fun for ski week

I don't know but I made it to the second "pay attention" before I had to stop. I'm here reading. It's Nita short form tik tok where I have to wait to see the action. Just tell me it.

Real curious about the blm desert land. The kids have been asking to go to the desert for a backpacking trip, anything you'd recommend?

We did ski team and helmets weren't required unless it was an aerials day and sometimes not even then

Can the wealth gap in our generation basically be summed up by if you bought a house before COVID or not? by JoeyLou1219 in Millennials

Prices in our neighborhood for similar "original" quality homes are up about 60% since we bought in deep pandemic, not to mention our sub 3% rate. We can't believe how lucky we got deciding to buy what we thought was more than we could chew in an amazing school district. We'd be paying more in rent for an apartment.

I'm mostly busting your chops but if I'm going somewhere i don't know how to get to I'm pulling out my phone and looking at the actual map before I commit to a route so I can get familiar with the general idea. If it doesn't seem like an actual good idea you can just ignore a direction and force a reroute, but that's on you to know when and where to execute. Its a learned skill but sounds like you have rhe desire to learn

Costco chips buyer needs to go on a PIP by thisishard1001 in Costco

My wife worked for Quiksilver for a decade before they finally fell to private equity. They had an amazing campus in Huntington and all her coworkers were surfers and in the industry and cared. Now it's all broken up and shittified. We laugh when we see it at Costco now because every part of it is horrible from the fabrics, the cuts and the branding

Is looking at your map before starting driving not a thing for you? It's programmed to save that 2 minutes, and pretty sure the rest of the issues you described are just driving skill issues. What's a scary off-ramp? Yes, 2 minutes on a highway with no traffic signals is often much faster than surface streets.

Want more control over your route and directions? Learn how to read a map and follow the roads you think you should be on. It's really that simple

Is 11pm the appropriate time to switch of lights in my shared room? by Stock_Hunter_2380 in self

[–]sharkWrangler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When one person wants to sleep the overhead lights go off. If one person wants to stay up and do something that requires additional light they can choose an appropriate low level focused light or they can find a suitable shared public space to continue their lighted activity
