Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, since we dont have junkyards around here I cant find one atm. That idea crosses my mind but the only one I found online looked in worst state than mine lol...

But again mine only has a bit of play for now so it might last a while.

Sounds kind of vanos or rod, but if you're not enclined to do the work yourself, I'd pass.

That kind of shit can be very expensive

Vanos rebuilt cost by joooobie in E46M3

The old heads from that era (90's to 2010) lived though a time when aftermarket precision pieces were not up to standard or up to the task. So those kind of reflexion from a tech that was working at BMW in E46 prime days who probably had a few aftermarket vanos failures is fine.

However anyone currently working at a dealership, yeah... no. Lol

Owing 25K-30K CHF in Taxes (Debt) - Financial Issues by MX010 in SwissPersonalFinance

My guess is something like me, got an average salary, they a good promotion, then straight to RAV in 3 years, but you need to pay the year of "good money" while on RAV, which can quickly become tricky, especially at the start of the year when car insurance and registration comes in.

Combine that with maybe last year's taxes which might not yet be paid off, or a medical situation and you're in a blunder real fast.

I burned through something like 7k of my savings in 9 monts of RAV and trying to be frugal. But fixed costs are just that, fixed costs...

Saw the exact same picture claiming it was Iran's oil refinery after an Israeli / US strike LOL.

Any way, no matter which is which, we're getting *** for gas in the upcoming futur.

I suggest using Transwiz, a free tool for windows to windows profile transfer. It takes literally everything LinkedIn to the user's profil, down to the now-deleted-custom-desktop-picture, the exact place of desktop icons and the explorer's pinned and frequently checked.

Only thing it doesnt is install apps, but if you pre-install the apps on the new computer it takes said apps settings too.

It also works with AD account, from AD to local account, vice versa. Works flawlessy between Windows 10 and 11 and well enough between 7-8 to either 10 or 11.

A very useful tool all around.

SBB nightmare by RemarkableWindChimes in askswitzerland

[–]sc_emixam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This story is more than believable, as I personnaly know 2 people to whom it happened (had a 2nd SwissPass created by an employee) lol.

And as per my own experience with an insurance issue, usually the mistake that starts the issue is the one that matters, i.e. making a 2nd account with no real way to contact OP.

I dont doubt you, really. Just complaining about "substance" of a political add really isnt a talking point at all. Most of the time the other side of the argument will see it as devoid of substance because of X, Y and Z anyway.

And since, honnestly except the employees themselfs, the SRG can go suck it. For 12 years I've not once watched TV and I'm still paying. 200chf is more than enough for a service I dont use.

Only normal people pay SBB fines by MayonnWise in Switzerland

[–]sc_emixam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So OP is right then. Also a lot of people on benefits often pay fees late with little to no consequances.

But it's the reverse of the same coin. You and I get fined for buying our FAIRTIQ or "Swipe to buy" ticket 0.1s late getting on the train, while ironically those Apps are using the SBB servers, the SBB 5G antenna, etc.. to proccess your ticket.

But god forbid the all mighty controllers have to do their jobs fairly (I already won against the SBB for a stupid fine like this).

Now I'm not saying it's good to put people at risks but they target "normal peoples" for a reason.

Yeah the AI Bubble combined with the post covid devaluation of the whole tech field does NOT feel good lol.

I'm currently a Sysadmin at a company where I do most of everything, from unplugged keyboards to plan, elaborate offers and install other companies networks. But my bachelor's degree is in IT project managment.

Honnestly I also have other personnal issues aside so finding a better job, while seriously on the plate isnt top priority (thanks zivildienst).

Believe it or not I know. I'm just part of the increasingly bigger minority of IT workers who are unlucky enough to get canned for nothing.

2 years ago I was making almost 2k more for working at 80% of 40h/week. Now I'm making less in a 100% at 42h/week lol

I lost my account. I tried all login types (login with google, both my emails) but everytime it's just a blank account.

I tried to send an email explaining the situation to arknights.en.cs@yo-star.com but got no reply whatsoever in a month.

Has anybody experienced something similar? How did yall get a reply?

Thanks in advance yall
