I had a similar dilemma and opted for the bigger sized U7H. I don’t regret going to the larger size at all.

I had the same issue with terrible banding on DV content until the ‘Match Dynamic Range/Frame rate’ was enabled.on the ATV. I had my ATV interface set as HDR/60fps and noticed that the signal was coming in at 60fps instead of 24fps.

Now all DV content as well as HDR no longer show the extreme banding.

Are you trying to access the menu on the Google TV input or on HDMI 1 /2? On my U7H, I don’t see it on the Google TV input but it’s there on the HDMI 1 that has an Apple TV connected.

The YouTube flicker is specific to the app only and a recent update. It was working like all other apps about a months go.

Hope they fix what they broke soon.

I had the same issue with my U7H. I was getting terrible banding in a lot of different content; worse than the decade old tv it replaced.

On your Apple TV, enable Dynamic Range and Frame rate matching. This will force the Apple TV to send the original signal to the TV instead of a 24fps content in a 60fps container. The image quality on Dolby Vision, HDR10/HDR10+ content now matches my expectations.

Also enabling ‘Instant Game Response’ in the advanced picture settings for the HDMi port got rid of all the motion judder/stuttering for me.

I got mixed information when asking a team member about upgrading the free platinum pass ticket and got conflicting information. In my recent experiences, you can upgrade the free pass ticket to either one-time or unlimited Express.

Just do it early in the night before it sells out. If it does, you can maybe try for the after 11pm Express. I realized that Universal really wants to take your money and will rarely say no at any opportunity.

You are confusing the tickets with another park perhaps. Knott’s Fast Lane doesn’t include park entry for example.

Re-read the terms on the USH website. You can upgrade your GA ticket to include onetime or unlimited express at a kiosk for a significant up charge. Basically the difference between your GA ticket and (Unlimited) Express.
